  1. Burger looks hitterish as Hawk would say. I was against drafting him. I think I might have been really wrong. The guy looks like a hitter. Hope he gets consistent at bats. No room for both Burger and Yoan probably. Sox have three MLB ready prospects in Burger, Sheets and Vaughn. We shall see who gets the shaft in terms of at bats. Nice win again. No complaints here.
  2. Nice win. Long ball and pitching clicked. Gotta love a healthy Robert and Timmy is really hot.
  3. I never became a Royals or Chiefs "fan" despite living here for many moons. Growing up in Chicago hooked me on Chicago teams. Royals have a nice little organization that was a powerhouse during the McRae/Brett/Quisenberry/White/Patek/Splittorff/Leonardish years and Chiefs have shown how important a special QB is to success. I personally feel there are many ways to win in sports without total tanking.
  4. I wonder why tanking angers me so. I consider it un-American. Hotdogs, apple pie and trying to win in baseball used to be the standard in USA. Me no like tanking. I like White Sox victories.
  5. Robert A plus. Nice work. Eloy. Nice catch. Good to win at home. Great teams win a ton of their home games and go .500ish on road. Nice victory.
  6. I'm not complaining, I just learned the best way for me to get a perfect GPA was to memorize everything in sight. Worked for me.
  7. My high school economics teacher "tried" to teach us about the stock market, sort of. That's it though. No stuff besides rote memorization.
  8. With starters only going five max, lot of bullpen usage coming.
  9. I believe the pipeline Biden closed on his first week of office should be flowing again. I don't understand why the USA has to be concerned about climate change every minute of every day when other BIG countries don't give a flip. Lets produce some oil so we don't have to pay 70 dollars for a fill-up. So sad/disgusting for me to fork over so much cash for fuel in my Camry (cut the outrage that I drive a foreign car even tho it's made in Kentucky). I have a problem with electric cars. a.) allegedly they are EXPENSIVE to purchase. b.) Driving 250 miles to 500 miles is exhausting enuf for those of us who don't like to drive. You can't tell me there will EVER be enuf recharging stations in our lifetimes to avoid 1-2 hour waits to recharge. What about the folks who commute into cities and have 40 minute drives each way. The first time you need a recharge will be too many when u are trying to get to or from work. Call me a climate change hater if u must but I don't see the USA making much of a difference when other countries don't give a flip bout climate change (Putin? Cmon; China? One big LOL). Why us? Why now? What we do is nullified by their actions. I think it's important to keep prices down. Peace out. GO SOX. And please have mercy on my wallet.

  11. You got to use a different store brand name in these type posts bout Greg. I have a thing against Applebee's. I never go there and don't like 'em. Also don't like Cracker Barrell and Waffle House. Friends got sick in them. Not a big Olive Garden fan either and wouldn't be caught in a Red Lobster. Don't like those kind of chains tho I will go in an Old Chicago.
  12. I pray the shortages don't empty the shelves. I'm not that resourceful in terms of standing in long lines for food and/or surviving after being spoiled so many years.
  13. Watch a Three Stooges episode with Curley in it and you should laugh.
  14. Our education in high school and college consisted of memorizing everything imaginable so you could pass or ace tests and forget everything a few week after the memorization. There was little "learning," just figure out rote memorization was the best way to an A. ... I'm not talking about math (algebra, geometry, physics, etc.) classes however. Those for us dummies was somehow getting a passing grade despite having no mathematical ability and just taking the bare minimum math/science classes as required by a liberal arts type major. ... We never had teachers address stuff that would have been nice to know like how to invest, how to buy a house, how to fix a car, how to cook, some of the things u've mentioned.

This war continues to sadden me. I am thinking Putin will eventually grow impatient and do something incomprehensible that could lead to the end of life as we know it. Let there be peace on earth ... somehow.
  16. Over 4 bucks here. Sad, unacceptable, ridiculous, disgusting. I heard Biden on TV saying we should expect food shortages. What the hell is going on? Fire everybody. I don't care who takes over but get rid of these high prices and shortages!
  17. Maybe next offseason the Sox do a thorough evaluation of the injuries and decide whether it's a.) just bad luck. b.) unavoidable. c.) avoidable. d.) the fault of our training staff and team doctors or e) just bad luck part two. I think Sox should at least examine WTF regarding injuries. Do a thorough analysis in the day of analytics baby!
  18. Maybe ptatc can get me to stop being a broken record as he is a medical guru IMO. But all these Sox injuries grow very tiresome as a fan. Also Timmy's suspension is unfortunate. I think we win if he's in there on Opening Day. A few more hits mighta mattered. Ah, I'm venting. Sorry. 0-1.
  19. Oh my, I left the game after the half inning of Vaughn's blast figuring we were 1-0. My gosh, the Sox lost? Yikes.
  20. Injuries, injuries, injuries ... modern baseball. Huge contracts should be a thing of the past. Anybody can and will go down at any time. Sorry for the abject negativity, but I'm frustrated.
  21. I love Vaughn. He looks good at the plate. Sox up, 4-3.
  22. Tony is a great manager IMO. The reason Sox are flailing still is INJURIES. Something's wrong there. Way too many. Also our pitching staff still blows, though most in baseball do also. Nuttin wrong with Tony. (I do think Sox have a WS roster, but it's far from special).
  23. I like Collins. Hope he makes it in the bigs.
  24. Don't have time to read it all. So tell me, will I like Cueto? Is he good? Will he replace Dallas? How is Keuchel doing anyway in ST. Been too busy to follow.
  25. Poor Yermin. Do the Cubs have a DH? Trade him there for some pitching.
