Rays @ Sox, 6/14 7:10 ct
I never thought Yermin would slump this bad the way he attacked the ball all April. Baseball is such an unpredictable game. I know he couldn't hit .480 all year but he so effortlessly found holes and pounded the ball. Wonder if he'll get it back.

ELOY back Monday against KC
I keep thinking about Eloy and have come to the conclusion he can only be a DH. He's just gonna get hurt out there. You know what this means? We must trade Yermin. Too many DH types on the team. Eloy can't move to 1B cause Jose has a few good years left. Maybe just maybe Sox could move Eloy to RF and have Jermaine Dye talk to him on how to play the position and not hurt yourself. (I realize Dye was no phenom defensively). Anyhow just the thought of Eloy back in LF concerns me. I love his bat, though.

And That's a White Sox Winner !!
It's so unusual to see a pitcher work fast anymore especially a reliever. Last night I had a couple different things called up on my puter including mlb.com Sox game. Bummer was working a bit faster than a snail's pace and it shocked me to have to click on the Sox screen a little quicker than normal to catch every pitch. I can only watch Sox games cause I'm addicted to the Sox for life. I won't watch any other baseball game for even an inning cause (for me) it's so boring now. Sox games still interest me greatly though even with the snail's pace.

Way to stay down on it, Mendick.

Bummer annoys me at times.

2:43 is acceptable. 2:30 should be the maximum time it takes to play a baseball game with way more 2:20 games than 4 hours plus. Four hours to play a nine inning game is disgraceful.

Madrigal goes on 60 day DL, Hamstring tear: Goodwin recalled
I agree. Leury is a regular and can hit .280 with some game-winning hits tossed in there. Sox actually can survive this one. Sox are close to done, though if they have any more key injuries. They can't survive losses to Jose, Moncada, Timmy or Hendriks. Maybe even Grandal.

And That's a White Sox Winner !!
Love our closer. Wow he's into the team winning. ...Sox have had some good closers. Hendriks is another. I applaud his work and his personality. Regarding your last point, people think we are outdated crabby fans, but baseball is about dead because of the length of games. The slow pace has killed the young generation of fans. Right now all baseball has going for it to the youth is the bat flip after a bomb. My solution is to fire all umps and start over with the rulebook and make the umps enforce the rules and be proud of the pace of their games. Current umps hate baseball, pure and simple. Their union has done a nice job getting them a good check.

Madrigal goes on 60 day DL, Hamstring tear: Goodwin recalled
I respect Madrigal's all-out hustle on the play in which he got hurt. The Sox really truly do hustle. My question is ... with these amazing bursts of speed out of the batters box and the fact u never know where your stride is going to put your foot on first base ... I was wondering if perhaps the Sox need a new training staff. We have so many injuries I think I'd put the Sox through the most strenuous stretching regimen of any team in any sport on game day. Just a thought.

Nice win. Good job winning the series.

6/9| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2766
Injury bug is killing the Sox. Frankly I think the Sox have the same team as last year (and it's not their fault cause of injuries). The team will make the playoffs but exit early. That's not to say it's not a good team. But the bullpen has some very unreliable guys, the starting pitching is good not great and the injuries to everyday players are really bad/sad. I like the team; it's easy to rip them after losses and I won't do that. But it's a good team, not great, and I guess they could catch fire in the playoffs but I don't think so. I'll just live day to day with the team and hope Madrigal isn't out a month. I bet they know a lot more tomorrow after sleeping on the hammy.

Student Loan Debt
This is a huge issue. Tons of people worked 3 jobs through college or went to juco and saved up money they earned working at Jewel or a gas station or a steak house, somewhere 50 hours a week. If government just forgave all student loan debt, how fair is that to the people who worked their butts off to make it thru school. I truly wish those with 50,000 to 100,000 dollars or more student loan debt could get it forgiven at the expense of colleges who have charged way too much for many years now. Not sure the solution but the solution is not to forgive debt of some people and not throw some money to the folks who paid off their own huge debts. It's not fair. I know life isn't fair. ...

And that is a Sox beat Jays winner!
Sox looked like a good team (again) tonight. Excellent victory. Easy to take for granted. Lotta stars. Nice job.

2021 Catch-All
Fans get very mad in game threads when things do not go well. A great hitter succeeds three out of 10 times. During the seven failures, game thread fans get quite irate.

Moncada “doesn’t do that anymore…”
No more stealing. Period. Analytics killed the stolen base. Home runs sell tickets. Period.

Sox lead the AL(and most of the NL) in sac bunts
Bunt is a four-letter word for a reason, Tony. No bunting in modern baseball. HRS, K'S are desired. A walk is OK, nothing else.
-
TLR thread 2.0
In this day and age in which all teams want their hitters to either hit a HR or K or walk only, there is NO NEED to ever bunt. Is it so hard to just have a policy of no bunting? Even Madrigal and Billy H want to hit a HR every at bat, so quit the bunting.

White Sox Win Game 2 of Trap Series!
Not sure why they didn't ask such an obvious question about the starter. It's possible the real beat writers got a Friday night home game off and all the fill in reporters were left to ask the questions. Unlike the old days most news outlets give a beat reporter a game off every now and then. It's possible Tony was facing some rookie fill in reporters. Tony's not going to snap on a second-guessing type question after a victory. Not really a risky question to ask IMO.

White Sox Win Game 2 of Trap Series!
You picked the wrong ballplayer to hate. He's a good hitter, arguably a great hitter, but at worst he's a "good" hitter.
