I get the feeling Hahn wants the tank to take over the second half of the season since he feels this isn't a contender. He's like a modern fan. He wants more prospects so he'll trade McCann, Colome, Herrera, maybe Abreu, etc. Sox have already had some highlights this year. A total collapse the second half and he gets another top draft pick.

You all realize Alonso will continue to play regularly don't you? You sign a guy for that kind of money, you play him. Case closed. Ricky's hands are tied. He plays until the day he's released. You guys fail to realize it's hard to excel personally when you play for a team that has been this bad year after year.Can get in bad personal habits, etc., when your performance doesn't really matter to the team. Abreu is a fine hitter and good baseball player. I'd rank him 7 out of 10 or 7.5 to 8.
