  1. Eloy is special. Can you imagine him in the old Comiskey Park? Roof shots. He'd hit homers to that nook in right center that only Dick Allen reached. Eloy Eloy Eloy. Hahn will be Sox GM forever cause he brought Eloy to the south side. Now to all the rebuild/tank fanatics. It's time NOW to start building on superstar Eloy and stars Moncada, Timmy and Abreu and Gio and start doing the tinkering necessary to start DOMINATING THIS WEAK bleep DIVISION!!!! We can start winning now with the proper acquistions. But nooooooo .... we're talking about trading Colome, Abreu, McCann, Alonso (OK he should go) just so we can start sucking eggs and get a high draft pick AGAIN. JUST.RIDE.ELOY.TO.THE.TOP starting NOW!!!! Thank you and remember, Hahn is here forever cause he brought this star to the South Side. He is Dave Winfield times three folks.
  2. I see you conveniently ignored the homer totals.
  3. Abreu has 52 RBI; Machado 33; Abreu has scored 31 runs to Machado 30; Abreu has 16 HR, Machado 10.
  4. What a pathetic outing by Bummer.
  5. Abreu is close to becoming Avi in terms of a significant number of fans not liking him.
  6. I get the feeling Hahn wants the tank to take over the second half of the season since he feels this isn't a contender. He's like a modern fan. He wants more prospects so he'll trade McCann, Colome, Herrera, maybe Abreu, etc. Sox have already had some highlights this year. A total collapse the second half and he gets another top draft pick.
  7. Just the idea he's still in chicago. And appreciated in Chicago forever.
  8. Nice play but safe.
  9. I apologize as I don't worship him in the figurative sense of bowing down in front of a god, little g. I worship him as I did Konerko and Buehrle and Ozzie, guys like that. Worship I guess is the wrong word. I worship them in a sports sense, not religious.
  10. You all realize Alonso will continue to play regularly don't you? You sign a guy for that kind of money, you play him. Case closed. Ricky's hands are tied. He plays until the day he's released. This is not Ricky's decision. It's a front office decision. Why blame Ricky Renteria? His MUST PLAY Alonso. That's how it works.
  11. You guys fail to realize it's hard to excel personally when you play for a team that has been this bad year after year. Can get in bad personal habits, etc., when your performance doesn't really matter to the team. Abreu is a fine hitter and good baseball player. I'd rank him 7 out of 10 or 7.5 to 8.
  12. We stink; Eaton is good. That is all.
  13. Stone is a genius. He called it AGAIN. A hittable pitch indeed.
  14. Greg can accept an Abreu trade only to the Cubs. True I don't watch the Cubs (even with Q) but if he stays in Chicago I'm OK with a deal. I worship him. In a perfect world I get Avi and Jose both on my fave team, the Sox.
  15. Sanchez is lobbing meat up there. Sad.
  16. Way to hit right into the shift. Players who hit into the shift should be fined. Ridiculous. Hit the fricking ball the opposite way. So much green pasture you WILL get hits.
  17. Hopefully Covey won't be back. Leave him in the minors once he heals.
  18. Awful idea. Abreu is a Sox through and through, hopefully until the end of his career.
  19. I am a fan. I can demand wins and superstars no matter how we get them.
  20. Look, there's no need for a negative word on this site again about Eloy. Did you see that HR? Who knows when, but if he stays healthy he is a certain superstar. Put it on the board and hop on board the Eloy train. Enjoy him. Hahn will be here forever cause he acquired this massive mountain of a human.
  21. Not a bad take, poppy. I would think Cubbies would have to pay most of Hayward's salary. Sox don't want to go there.
  22. I wonder why I "hate" Jay so much. My baseball brain can get bleeped up sometimes. I don't hate McCann (he's obviously having a nice season) or Beef or even Alonso that much. But the idea of watching Jay play makes me figuratively ill. Sorry Mr. Jay. Maybe I should give you a chance. I even like Tilson way more than Jay. p.s. Obviously I am in a very anti Beef mode when Ricky bats him fourth. That obviously is buzzkill through the course of a game.
  23. I'd only play him against Cleveland. He seems to have helped us turn our fortunes around a bit against the Tribe.
  24. He's got a very good shot. Still some more time before that game, though.
