QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 7, 2016 -> 03:28 PM) I thought he said the wife knows and doesnt care before. No, the wife caught him before and was deeply hurt, but stayed married. He said it was a one time thing and wouldn't do it again. The wife is very nice and a mother of 2 so cool little ones. The guy just is an admitted sex addict and had the one bad experience with the psychiatrist and won't go back.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 8, 2016 -> 04:10 AM) We need to dispel with the notion that greg775 doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing. What he's doing .... uh, • Expressing distaste for Hillary a lot. • Making a TRUE statement about superficialities being important to American voters. Do a Google on Nixon's appearance on TV vs. Kennedy. It was a BIG FACTOR. • Forgive me for posting about Hillary screaming when I heard about it on TV (somebody said it was sexist to comment on a woman screaming and not a man, because if a man does it it's perceived as forceful) and then sure enough I listened to her most recent speech and she was SCREAMING while spouting dumb cliches. One poster pointed out it's scary HOW MANY TIMES I've been actually right about some things. Forgive me if I post about Hillary a lot in a Democratic forum. There are only 2 candidates for gosh sakes. Hillary and Bernie. p.s. when I got asked to quit calling them nicknames did you notice I, uh, stopped doing so? If all posters obeyed like that it'd be a better board IMO. Truthfully since I got asked to quit giving my pet names for Bernie and Hillary ... I STOPPED DOING SO.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 7, 2016 -> 07:32 PM) Jesus christ stop and read what you wrote. That's really the argument you want to bring? You don't like her shrill volume level at the microphone? No I don't like that. And Balta, you are a smart person. You know little things like how a person looks or sounds means a TON in Presidential elections. Nixon losing to Kennedy because of the way he sweat on TV. Humphrey's looks and voice. You don't think superficiial things like looks and screaming matter? I'd say 30 percent of all voters vote on likeability. In our superficial country?? Of course they do. I despise Hillary for a lot of reasons but yes I wonder how Hillary supporters can stand listening to her scream out cliches? I notice you didn't answer my specific question but effectively changed the subject to screaming at me.

ABC is a joke. How can they not have a producer or intern or somebody in the hallway during the introductions and not make Carson look like a zombie? That was terrible. There are just horrible horrible candidates on the Republican side. Is Rubio serious about repeating the same lines four times in the debate? That's insane. He comes across as glass eyed and a nutjob, sort of. Cruz is just bizarre and abrasive to the ears needs to go away. By the end, people are going to be so sick of Trump it would be the biggest landslide in history if he runs against Hillary. Obviously I hate Hillary but her one saving grace is she has Bill hovering in the background and Bill is entertaining/cool, whatever the word you want to use. Carson is great but doesn't come across well on TV. Christie is like having Mike Ditka as president; won't fly. What a sorry cast of characters. Out of all of them you'd have to pick Trump as most electable still but again, his supporters are too vocal in a meanish way. But ABC ... did they try to embarrass the Rebulicans with that introduction? Was it deliberate?

Update on my friend who cheats with the hot chick while he and wife remain a couple while raising two kids. He's thinking about moving so the mistress will lose interest in him. She's way younger than him and is starting to complain about him spending time with his wife. She's starting to get more aggressive in wanting to spend more time with him. He'd move the family to another state because he has the type of job where the company has various cities available for employees. One thing I think is crazy. If I were in his wife's shoes, I'd demand to look at his phone more often. In this day and age, a cheater is going to have so many text messages. There's no way you can have a secret romance without a lot of texting. If my wife cheated once I'd demand the right to grab my wife's phone at any time and look for texts from lovers.

I realize as a Hillary-hater I'm kind of biased against her no matter what. But to the Hillary supporters I have a serious comment/question I'd love for you to answer. I listened to her today and want to know how you can stand listening to her SCREAM all her cliches. She gets to the mic and screams way too loudly and just utters cliche after cliche. Why is that working for you? Do you want her because she's the best of a weak crop or do you actually believe in Hillary?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 5, 2016 -> 06:03 AM) When you think about it, Sanders has become a one-man version of Occupy Wall Street. It's forcing Hillary to tack to the left because her pragmatic/realistic/moderate/progressive side isn't going to motivate anyone, no matter how many times she mentions the Children's Legal Defense fund, CHIP, the fight over Hillary Care, etc. The Clintons made so much of the fact they were supposedly broke when they left the White House (that was quickly remedied by book deals)...but I don't feel many young people get a sense that Hillary cares about poor people. From reading about all the deals and sources of money for the Clinton Foundation (they can locate it in Harlem, but their hearts are in Westchester), the picture of what they've actually accomplished for all the millions of dollars "invested" gets murkier and murkier. Heck, the left wing of the Democratic party doesn't 100% believe the Obamas really care about the issues Sanders is directly taking on, either. Only Bill had that seemingly magical ability to connect to people and no matter how earnestly she endeavors, it's just lacking in her...that genuineness or authenticity, it's clear she's always going to be arguing the Presidency is something she has earned and has the right to but she doesn't know how to win it or exactly why. It's that tone-deafness which already destroyed Jeb Bush. But unlike Bush, Hillary has the media in her hip pocket. The key for her is they WANT her to win. So that means a lot and will assure her the Presidency likely in a landslide.

Hillary "won" and we're hearing nothing about the 6-for-6 coin flips. Hilarious. If Bernie had won there's be coin flip mocking going on and investigations. It's her turn to be president for 8 years, folks and there's nothing anybody can do about it. Hope you Hillary backers realize you're setting it up so nicely on a tee for Chelsea to succeed mom. I don't understand why our country wants the Clintons so badly. Tell me I'm wrong about the coin toss scandal. Six for six? Sure.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 07:30 PM) If you read the new testament, one thing that jumps out at me is that Christ himself didn't pester people to convert. He went in, preached the word, and then left. No extra guilt. No chasing people around. Either you hear the holy spirit or you didn't. He even acknowledged that some would be deaf to the word of God. How do people who call themselves Christians not see this? Great post. I don't live near my siblings, etc., but when they ask me over holidays if I still go to church, I just say yes and never expand on it. Not going to be a preacher type guy to turn them off. They've never asked me any questions about why I believe or anything so I don't try to get them to convert even though I think it would help my sister. I'm not gonna go there because people don't want to hear it and I don't want to be "that pushy relative."

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 2, 2016 -> 07:28 AM) https://www.yahoo.com/politics/coin-flip-io...-044156528.html Clinton apparently won three coin flips that pushed the election in her favor by just 4 out of 1,396 total. Plus, O'Malley ended up with 8 that probably would have gone to Sanders, arguably. There are rumors she "magically" won all six state-wide coin flips, overall. The odds of that happening are just 1 in 64 or 1.6%. Not the way she wanted to kick off the campaign. This is just absurd, beyond belief. They want us to believe Hillary won all six coin flips. I mean I've heard of scandal, but this is scandal. Hopefully public reaction will make it worse than if Hillary and Bernie Sanders split the flips 3-3. I mean 6-0 Hillary on the coin flips?? Cmon America. Cmon Iowa. Fight a fair fight. Sanders got hosed. The DesMoines newspaper better be a watchdog on this one and get to the bottom of Hillary's domination of coin flips.

If 80 percent of Dems love her, why were we getting stories recently that Hillary and Bernie were neck and neck in Iowa? I get the feeling it's going to be a Hillary runaway and Bernie will be close to dropping out after NH.

Even Hillary loves have to admit this is pretty funny. We enter the first caucus with Hillary totally getting positive press. The NY Times editorial. The puff piece on how everyone loves Bill Clinton surfacing today. The media is so predictable. Right after the caucus for a few days there will be negative stories on the email or something else, then as we creep close to New Hampshire ... boom there will be more positive fluff on Hillary. I have no idea why the media want Democratic presidents so badly, but they do.

His is a weird story. After being so durable all those years, does his arm hurt badly? Is it falling off so to speak?? He was great at the start of last season and pretty effective until the end when he basically stopped pitching. If his arm isn't a mess Sox should sign him for 2 million plus a few incentives. Even though we're stock full of lefties it certainly wouldn't hurt to give him a chance considering all the hacks we've used as our fifth starter in recent years.

I've never despised a candidate as I do Hillary. I voted for Obama. He failed me. I thought Romney was a lousy candidate. But Hillary ... I hate to say it but I'd almost take anybody but Hillary. I can't imagine her representing our country for eight years. But I do realize that's the reality. How the heck are we going to survive eight years of Hillary. She has no positions of interest. She's trying to barely escape another scandal. She and Trump are the same in they probably are sickened at the thought of picking a Veep. They don't want to share any spotlight. But Hillary I just think is a bit more evil than even Trump if that's the right word.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 31, 2016 -> 09:59 AM) How could I in good faith vote for someone who you could put side to side with Hitler quotations and you wouldn't be able to differentiate which quotes were to attributable to each? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/...olf-Hitler.html Pass that quiz and I'll vote for Trump. Trump, to my knowledge, has no plan about improving education or the economy...and dodges policy questions consistently...he wants to penalize every middle class American by putting a tariff on Chinese imports of 45% and doesn't realize that few of those outsourced low-end manufacturing jobs are returning to America no matter how much he blusters. In good faith, would I want someone who could put the lives of every American at risk if he was in charge of the nuclear arsenal? Someone who is indifferent to God and yet is openly pandering to Christian conservatives in Iowa with the picture of him posing with a Bible...after saying 2 Philippians or Colossians instead of 2nd since he's clearly unfamiliar? With Hillary, you have one of the smartest presidents in history at her side...with Trump, you get a former fashion model. You missed the thread where Leonard Pitts convinced me that Trump's legion of fans were too dangerous to put him in office. So I'm not a Trump guy anymore. I was saying Sanders vs. Cruz would be a fair election. Or isn't it time Bush rally? I just don't see how anybody can justify backing somebody like Hillary. She already got her participation award when they named her Secretary of State. Give her another job like that if we must. Great, now I'm reading all the articles that she is ahead in Iowa and going to win Monday. I forgot about the media charade in which they 'criticize' the Democrat when it doesn't matter, then come out blazing in favor of them when it's voting time.

That said, almost nobody is very excited about her. The Sanders excitement is more about the message than the candidate himself. Assuming he wins NH but loses Iowa and SC, he really needs to win NV or for there to be more legal issues relating to the e-mails. How can you in good faith vote for somebody as sinister as Hillary Clinton? You don't think the smoke around this email thing signals a blazing fire?? It's not great that Bernie is an atheist but clearly everybody has the right to not be a believer. I'm not so sure Hillary is much of a believer. I think I read somebody speculating she isn't into religion either. My bad if that's wrong. We have some weird candidates this time around. We have Cruz who seems like the male Hillary personality wise, kind of a jerk. We have Bernie who is an alleged socialist and I guess a non believer. We have Trump who is a selfish businessman And we have Hillary who feels she's entitled to be president for some weird reason. Is Jeb Bush so bad after all? Just asking.

OK guys, there's no way Hillary can survive this email development. Granted, the public doesn't give a flip apparently she was recklessly firing off emails on secure matters, but these matters were SO PRIVATE and IMPORTANT to the US Government, they can't even release to the public what was in her emails. Can we all agree Hillary is a.) possibly going to jail over this. b.) certainly done as a candidate? http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/01/29...ml?intcmp=hpbt1
