  1. It was in FL when I was a lot younger. During Frank's MVP type years, 93 and 94 I believe. At that time I was all about the Big Hurt. Even got him to sign my Sox cap before losing it on the plane ride home. (Imagine the heartbreak). Anyhow, my Uncle used to live down in the FT Lauderdale area and the Yankees were training there. Anyhow, I saw the Sox and Yanks several times and it was a great thrill for me at the time. Never been out to Arizona, but I'd like to go in the next few seasons.
  2. How about this for an answer....Quit posting stuff about the bulls*** cubs on SOXTALK. If you wanna talk about the scrubs, go talk to a scrubs fan. :fthecubs
  3. I've been to spring training twice before when I was younger. Never been to Soxfest, so I'd like to see what it's like.
  4. I had my choice between Spring Training and Soxfest and chose Soxfest. Hopefully I don't regret it.
  5. And if he does end up on the Cubs, I can't wait to light him up at the Cell next summer.
  6. Like Loaiza added the cutter, Parque hopes to add the home run ball to his....wait he's already got that in his arsenal...
  7. If we are posting the signing of Troy Cameron on the website, we would surely be posting something about Person or Jackson on the site as well after the lack of moves this offseason. Looks like that MLB link confirms Jackson's signing though. Gotta agree: Person has yet to sign with the Sox.
  8. Nanita is 22, he's from a Juco school and he'll move up the ladder quickly if he continues to hit like he did last year. I really wouldn't consider 22 "a little old," but hey, your rankings are your rankings my friend.
  9. I didn't know the Sox would be playing in the International League against the Knights this upcoming season...
  10. Even if they do get him, chances are his sorry ass would be in AAA or cut by the time he ever got the chance to toe a major league rubber again.
  11. I wasn't the biggest advocate of signing Ponson, but then again, with the current staff we have, we've gotta do something. Right now the only starters I'm confident with are Buehrle and Loaiza. Garland is still to inconsistent for my taste. Every season we think he is about to breakout, yet he goes through a stretch where he is excellent and then is completely horrid. Show will apparently be the 4th starter, which I also have my doubts about. If he was that damn good, the Angels wouldn't have gotten rid of him. And the 5th spot is there for the taking if anyone in the organization would like to claim it. It's sure as hell not going to be filled by KW this offseason.
  12. So what's the point of testing if there is no penalty?
  13. Also Konerko's contract, 14 million to Maggs this season when our payroll is 60 million, the Ritchie trade, the Foulke for Koch trade.....and on and on and on...
  14. 86-76, Buehrle wins 21 games, Loaiza wins 12.
  15. No way, I'd like to have a better job than a manager at Staples after graduating college.
  16. I've already got Frank on a ball and Mags on a mini Sox helmet. I've got several Buehrle sigs as well, I just wanna get him to sign the jersey I got for Christmas so I can get it framed to hang in my house.
  17. If I am invited to join ya in the bar, then sure.
  18. Steff, from your experience, are there any guys that would be tough to get to sign?
  19. Musta had s***ty management. The ones here are kicking ass...
  20. I forgot to put that I work in Staples: The Office Superstore. Any of you that go to Office Max or Office Depot suck.
  21. Just wonderin where most of you students work while you're in school...
