I wouldn't suppose it's illegal if you're using it for personal use only, but I could be wrong. I agree with you on your assessment of the +R's, I've found those to be a lot better with compatability and quality than -R's.

I wouldn't make that public information...

Comp USA had a deal last week on DVD+R spindles of 25 for 19.99 after 5 dollars of instant savings, which calculated to 80 cents per disc. This week they have the deal on DVD-R's. Luckily I loaded up with 3 spindles. That's about as good of a price you're gonna find on blank DVD's. If you keep your eyes peeled when the ads come out on Sunday's, you'll find yourself a deal. Just remember that anything over a dollar a disc isn't a good deal.

Hold on a second, based on my logic, that trade you said would be: Knicks get: Big Z D Miles 1st rounder Cavs get: Penny Norris No chance that'd ever happen because the Cavs would never do that. Now if you just made a mistake and the Cavs were getting the 1st rounder, maybe they'd do it as a salary dump in Cleveland.

A few things: To Jas, the DVD players we're using are Panasonic and RCA, so I've got no clue if the Sony thing is true or not. I'll try to find out more on that for ya. To BEGood, I've been busy but I should be around posting more now. And finally, to KipWells, I feel ya on wanting the official copy, but it's really impossible to own every movie you love, so there's nothing wrong with a direct copy of the disc. Only difference is you don't have the case or the label on the disc. Besides that, same exact thing, which for 80 cents, isn't too shabby.

You can burn it with any program, the key is which program you encode the DVD off the disc with. Most programs will not let you take the materials from the disc and store them on your computer. If you want the name of the program that takes the materials from the disc, PM me.

It won't even be a lottery pick when the Knicks make the playoffs, it'll be the 14th or 15th pick.

With the 5th season not too far away (March 7th), I was just curious as to which was everyone's favorite season of the Sopranos. I'd probably have to go with the 3rd as my favorite, with the 1st and 2nd not far behind. Not enough action in the 4th (besides the Ralphie scene) to be my favorite. Hopefully the 5th will have some more action...

Although I'm sure some of the posters around here have already figured it out, this past week I finally figured out how to burn any DVD. Just in the past week I've already rented about 15 discs and burned those. The quality of the discs is the same as the original, which was surprising to me. In the past when I'd tried to burn DVDs I could never get around the copyright protections on the discs, but that is no longer an obstacle. Looks like eventually the movie business is gonna be in the same dilemma as the music business when it comes to this sorta stuff.

I wasn't at ESPN, therefore it couldn't have been that great

Beastly, quit with the threads being created for no reason. It's getting old rather quickly. On second thought, it was old about 3 months ago.

I've had a Cube since it's been out. I recently got the wavebird wireless controller and I like that a lot. I play mostly sports games on the Cube and they are comparable to the games on PS2 and X-box for both graphics and game play. The three games that I've been playing the most lately which are all excellent are NBA Live 2004, Madden 2004 and NCAA Football 2004. I'll probably pick up Mario Kart soon as well, as I've heard it's a great game and I loved the Mario Kart games on both the super nintendo and the nintendo 64.

Can the white sox win with buehrle as their ace?
aboz56 replied to Dsavmonster's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He's got an all-star appearance, he's 24 years old and he's only been on one playoff team, which was 2000 in which he was our setup man, not a starting pitcher. And no he doesn't have the distinction of choking in game 7 of the ALCS like your ACE Pedro did last year. And by the way, I believe Buehrle put the clamps on the Red Sox last season if my memory serves me correct. -

All of the Buehrle haters are going to be silenced this upcoming season as Buehrle is going to deliver a career year on the Southside. My prediction: 21-7 and a 3.78 era. And you talk of big games in which Buehrle hasn't performed in, which are you speaking of? He didn't even pitch in the Twins series in the Metrodome that we imploded in and he WON the start he had against the Twins during the last homestand versus the Twins. (the game that Cy Paniagua almost blew for us.) The guy just hit a dead arm period at the beginning of the year and still managed to get on a roll and win 14 games. From the reading of the one word answer that we can't win with Buehrle as our ace, why even play the season? Might as well just hand the division to the Twins or KC. I'm sure Mark B will have something to say about that. -
Of course my first order of business on my dynasty will be signing Buehrle to a 10 year deal.

Alex, apparently the most popular name among male posters here at Soxtalk.

They may have the best local radio show, but they are still the 3 stooges.
