Champ - Michigan State Final 4 - Michigan State, UConn, Kentucky, Duke

While most of the articles were brief, they may have been enough, along with the efforts of Lee’s colleagues, to have the White Sox reconsider their decision. ``My colleagues phoned me to say they told the management to waive their contracts as well unless mine is extended,’’ Lee said. ``I felt there is always a way out.’’

A lot of celebrities do that stuff. Howard Stern talks about it all the time because Robin did it and numerous other celebs. Dunno about that s***, doesn't seem natural at all to me.

I've never been a fan of diets at all. My mom is on Weight Watchers currently and has lost over 70 lbs since she started over around 7-8 months. Not that I need to diet anyway, but I gotta agree with SuperSteve on this one. Watching what you eat and when you eat it along with working out a lot will do a lot more for you long term than a quick fix like the Atkins Diet. It's a quick fix and like anything else that's a quick fix, it's not a long term solution. Eventually you will gain the weight back and all of the agony you put yourself through will be all for nothing. A consistent diet of healthy food and working out is behavior that you can train as a part of your everyday life. If you did the Atkins Diet forever, you'd die. That's just my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth and do as you please.

I smell Ligue part II, with Cora playing Tom Gamboa. In all seriousness, don't really like the hire. Rather have Bruce Kimm, but maybe that's because I'm anti-Cora to begin with because I never liked him as a player.

(Disclaimer: While this will never be read by anyone affiliated with the Sox, I just had to vent after the events of the past few weeks. Don't mind me.) Dear Management: As a lifelong, 21 year old White Sox fan, I am very concerned over the direction this team is going, especially given some of the deals that have transpired over the past few days and some of the deals that have yet to and probably will not transpire. I find it somewhat sickening that you have chosen to spend part of our precious payroll next season paying Jose Valentin a salary of $5 million. Is this the same guy who hit under .250 last season? I guess that's worth a $5 million salary. Many Sox fans are also disappointed that you have chosen to sign Ozzie Guillen to a 3 year deal as manager, yet he has never proven anything as a manager. This is particularly aggrivating as my favorite player, Mark Buehrle, sits idly by being jerked around by your lowball offers and refusal to offer a deal worth signing. Apparently you are too haunted by your past mistakes like Jamie Navarro to realize when you have a good thing going right in front of your eyes. Yes, this is the same Buehrle who has been nothing short of outstanding his first three season with the Sox but does not have a long term deal in place yet. Perhaps you could get a damn clue and offer him a good deal, but maybe that's asking too much. Of course there's those who say he won't sign with the Sox, but if the money and years are right, he'll sign. Then there's Carlos Lee, another player who's done a lot for White Sox baseball, but like Buehrle will probably go to arbitration instead of signing a long-term deal. Perhaps it will take fewer and fewer White Sox fans showing up at U.S. Cellular Field in 2004 to make you realize that you're making all the wrong moves. It surely seems to me that's what's going to happen if your current decision making continues. Sincerely, An aggrivated Sox Fan

I think on the back it should say BE GOOD SONS and CO.

Mariotti makes a boat load of money. Ya gotta figure with his Sun Times salary, Around the Horn and his radio stuff he's earning over 500K a year.
-
Yea it was mentioned, but never confirmed by the Sox. A few said the Score confirmed on the Radio. What's cora been doing the past few years, anyone know?

Here's a typical conversation between JR and KW regarding payroll issues: (KW knocks on JR's office, JR tells him to come in.) KW: I need to talk to you about our payroll next season. JR: I thought we've already gone over that. Only way I was spending money was if we signed El Goo. KW: But there are some good names out there that could help the pitching staff. JR: Who did you have in mind? KW: Ponson, Pettitte, maybe even Millwood. JR: Well if you hadn't signed Konerko and Koch to ridiculous deals, maybe those would be realistic. KW: Sorry boss, I guess we'll go to Plan C. JR: Sounds good, the cheaper the better. Now go call Andy Ashby and Cal Eldred's representatives. We need a third starter. KW: Right away sir.

Not a chance in hell.

Moving topic to the sports bar...

I bet Hef could still produce if need-be...I know I could at that age with all those hot 20 yr old's running around the house.
-
Reading that just makes me sick... Prayers and thoughts are with his family. Just another example of how f*cked up the world is these days.
-
She's about to bust loose....I likey
-
-
Then don't trade him if that's your thinking, we've only got him one more year then we are free.
-
Maybe it's a ploy by the US Government to try stopping the large obesity problem... Just plain horrible...shoot the parents.
-
I think dealing William would be a mistake. I'd like to see Big Willy get another shot to show Sox fans something. He surely didn't show us anything this past season. Trade Konerko or Mags and keep William.
-
The jury has spoken...He didn't comeback, he merely emerged from mediocrity...Now let's hope he wasn't a one year wonder.
-
Or it's just a sign we are accepting mediocrity...which with this management, is definitely not a surprise by any means.
-
What's going on with Eddy Curry? Got him for my fantasy team and he's been a bust so far.... Is it already time to cut loose on him?
-
Yes, but he'd never won more than what, 11 games? What's that coming back from? Maybe Surprise of the year would be more appropriate.
