  1. I didn't plan on having Colon back after this season from the time we acquired him by trade. Basically looked at him as a one year rental, which he was. And I thought the Sox were going to be in dire trouble after this past season pitching wise, but that was before Loaiza shocked the world. If we can sign a solid #3 starter and Loaiza has a respectable season next year, I'll feel good about next season. I know a lot of fans are disappointed about losing Colon, but the offer he got was fair. And while he was good down the stretch for the Sox, he's definitely not worth anywhere near $15 mil per season. At best, he's worth $10 mil a season.
  2. Not under the current rules. They'll have to pay a high luxury tax, but there is no salary cap like the NFL or the NBA has.
  3. I'd get a Buehrle. I've got a Red Sox throwback jersey from '83, but I don't have anything on the back of it.
  4. I guess since David Wells isn't coming back, they're gonna need another Tub Of Goo. Colon fits right in that role...
  5. I don't watch it, so I can't answer that.
  6. The team that won our division would fall under this category. The player? Doug Mienkiewicz.
  7. This should come as no surprise, but the word from a source is that Mr. Frank Thomas has decided to exercise his $6 million option this afternoon with the White Sox. Details should be forthcoming later this afternoon.
  8. Maybe he'll fire Bor-ass and let Crede's crew negotiate his deal when it comes time...

    Ring Question

I got a promise ring. I loved it. It was a ring with my birthstone in it. I say go for it. Oh... white gold or platinum is best. She's right on that, I remember her telling me when I was thinking about getting her one that white gold or platinum was a must. Guess all the doable ones share the same sentiments...
  10. A year or two ago, Sean Lennon released the biggest piece of garbage mistakenly referred to as a record album I've ever heard. It's obvious that he gets none of his "artistic" side from his father but rather, his Beatles killing mother YokOhNo. Julian Lennon was actually pretty big in the 80's for a short time wasn't he? He's had some decent albums, but he's never been huge. When you have John Lennon to live up to, it's pretty much given that you'll be a failure musically.
  11. Crede is a Boras client, I know that for sure.

    NBA Live 2004

If you liked last year's game, it's a huge upgrade. Got all the rookies of course, the new dynasty mode, which you can read about here: http://www.easports.com/games/nbalive2004/...dynastymode.jsp I like it a lot, if you've got any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

    Ring Question

I bought a girl I dated for 2 years a "promise ring" about 5 months into our relationship. Needless to say, the relationship didnt work out, but she loved it. I think it's a good idea if you're really sure the both of you feel the same way about one another. Perhaps earrings or a bracelet would be alright as well. That's up to you though.

    NBA Live 2004

Don't know if anyone has played it, but if you've got a Gamecube, pS-2 or X-box, you should check it out. Anyhow, started a dynasty on there and I'm in my second season. It's got a fantasy draft that you can start your dynasty with, which is a large upgrade from last year's addition. Here's my lineup, it's plain sick: C - Chris Bosh PF - Antoine Walker SF - Carmelo Anthony SG - Lebron James PG - Baron Davis Anyone who wants to challenge that lineup, bring it on.
  15. As far as I know, Crede is the only Bor-ass represented player...
  16. Mark can make a lot more $$. He's got to make a decision. The ball is in his court. Loaiza is making what the option was. No room for discussion there. I surprised that no one asked you this question, yet. But, what is this decision Mark has to make? Is there another contract offer on the table? No, the Sox clearly aren't that intelligent. Enjoy Buehrle for the 3 more years we have him, because after that, he's going to bolt unless something changes drastically around here.
  17. I like how he didn't force any shots. Shared the ball very well too. If they can get rid of Ricky Davis, they may have something in Cleveland. He killed them tonight. Kid's got a huge future, let's hope he stays as level headed as he appears to be right now.
  18. i didnt get into the session last year and i still got everyones sig thanks in part to the big party Last year was the first time all of the players showed up for that. It will be interesting if they all do again, because of all of the people asking for autographs. Yea, after the first 20 mins they had the security around there table and you couldnt get anywhere near them, the trick was to catch em on there way out Guys I know of a back entrance where I snuck in...if anyone is interested You're a menace to society....
  19. Each of them has a preset number of people they let into the lines. As long as you don't mind waiting in some lines, you will get about all of the autographs you want. Frank and Maggs you might have to do some waiting for, but you can get plenty of signatures. Usually players sign in two different blocks over the course of the weekend. So once you get the list, you sit down and map out your strategy of who you want. Sounds good, I've already got plenty of Buehrle, got a Thomas ball on the sweetspot as well as a Borchard on the sweetspot and a Mags Mini Helmet. Guess my main targets will be Buehrle (obviously), Garland, Crede and C. Lee. The lesser names, the easier it is. Everyone runs for the Maggs, Thomas lines, and then the rest kind of fill in accordingly. Save some extra money for the garage sale, as they have lots of cool one of a kind memorabilia such as used jerseys, bats, line up cards, and park flown flags. How much are the autographs at Soxfest or do they sign for free? All you HAVE to pay for is your ticket to Soxfest. After that as long as you are in line, by the number of people they allow (such as 600 people for Frank) you are guarenteed an autograph. The Tix are included with the room thou, so basically you stay at the hotel and it's all free....
  20. Only your time waiting in lines If that's the case, I've got all day and all night...
