  1. Each of them has a preset number of people they let into the lines. As long as you don't mind waiting in some lines, you will get about all of the autographs you want. Frank and Maggs you might have to do some waiting for, but you can get plenty of signatures. Usually players sign in two different blocks over the course of the weekend. So once you get the list, you sit down and map out your strategy of who you want. Sounds good, I've already got plenty of Buehrle, got a Thomas ball on the sweetspot as well as a Borchard on the sweetspot and a Mags Mini Helmet. Guess my main targets will be Buehrle (obviously), Garland, Crede and C. Lee.
  2. 2k, how do the autograph sessions work? Easier said, do I have a good shot at leaving Chi-town with several signatures or not?
  3. I think I am going to stay the weekend at the hotel again. It is a great deal. Yea, that's what I'm doing. Just booked my room actually. 2k, does staying 2 nights get you tickets for all 3 days of Soxfest or just 2? All 3 nights. It also gets you into a private autograph session, with a couple of the players. (last year one was MB) Are they taking reservations already? I booked Fri and Sat nights. That's the deal they were advertising on whitesox.com. http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/cws/com...rogram=upcoming
  4. My question is, who's gonna guard him on Sacramento? Bibby? Their other starters are Illgauskas, Boozer, Davis and Miles, he won't be guarding any of them.

  6. I'll be there Friday, Sat and Sunday. Maybe I'll even see a kid named Beastly there...
  7. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1649275 I suppose this is the first casualty of many to come...
  8. How about asking him to proofread your posts in the future?
  9. Kenny Williams said Colon was not going to be resigned. Where? I think he is referring to the article in today's Tribune. "No, we've turned the page," he said Tuesday. "We can't hold out for one player to the point where it jeopardizes all that we need to do, our next plan of action." Williams said he had numerous "lengthy, creative discussions" with Colon's agent, Mitch Frankel. Williams said some of the money in the Sox's offer was deferred because "it doesn't do us any good to overextend in one particular area to forsake another."
  10. I'd tend to agree that 17 or 18 wins from Buehrle should be expected, while it's not out of the realm to believe he can win 20. And yes, I am a BIG Buehrle fan. Just love the way the guy pitches and how he takes the ball each start and usually gets the job done. Sure, he struggled early on this season, but his resurrgence was one of the main reasons the Sox were able to make a run after the all-star break. Glad to see other fans appreciate what Buehrle has done thus far in his early years with the Sox. We've got him for at least 3 more and hopefully we can keep him longer.

Same here. Once a soxtalk poster, always a soxtalk poster. Got no reason to go elsewhere, I love this place and all of the posters, except Beastly of course...
  13. Read his posts, maybe you will find out. References to anyone with a difference in opinion as an idiot, moron, etc. and an obviously snide attitude. Considering he wasn't provoked at all, it's really uncalled for. I don't think anyone is going to miss him.
  14. Hanneman, you play with fire, you get burned... YOU GAWN!!!!! :fyou
  15. If that's the case, they are complete morons for dealing Brandon Claussen for Aaron Boone. In fact, a Yankee fan I know says that is one trade they are seriously going to regret. Guess that will all depend on how Claussen pans out. And I could be a witness to his development next year, as he should start the season at AAA Louisville.
  16. Agreed on all points. As much as most of us want him gone, the cancer will return next season. All of the points raised in this post are valid. 2/3 week Slumps. Terrible base running. Refusing to slide. Pouting when he doesn't bat 3rd. And while I respect the man for his contributions to the Sox, he's not the player he once was. If he can accept a diminished role, then he's worth keeping around. However, if he thinks he's the answer to anything, I'd sure as hell hate to hear the question.
  17. If I were the Royals I'd do it, cause there is no chance they will sign beltran. I also think Beltran is kind of over-rated and if I were George I'd be scared by his demands. Just cause he is a good player looking for superstar money and he isn't yet a superstar. I beg to differ, his numbers the past two years were stellar and he's a great centerfielder. He's still young and will only get better. And I'd definitely like him out of the division so the Sox wouldn't have to worry about him anymore. 15 or 16 mill a year stellar? He's always been said to have an attitude and I've yet to see him put up MVP numbers. He's always talked about like an MVP and I just feel he is overhyped compared to his numbers, although their is more to a player then numbers. No, but if he was traded to the Yankees, played there for a season and was successful and liked NY, he'd take 10 mil a season from the Yanks because they're going to be a winning team every season. Bottom line is no one is going to give him 15 or 16 mil a season anywhere.

  19. From the Yankees standpoint, the move that makes the most sense is either keeping Soriano or trading him for Carlos Beltran straight up. Any other move in my opinion would be a bad one.
  20. I hate to spoil this party, but the chances of Andy Pettitte coming to the White Sox are zero. It's just not going to happen.
  21. And also, hopefully Frank doesn't have a problem with his contract. Otherwise, if he doesn't like it, opt out...
