Beastly, who cares about Roman? No one. Let it be, let it be and quit bringing it up. Sheesh.

You are certainly entitled to voice your opinion and I respect you questioning my decisions. I just don't want you to think I am trying to be powerful as a mod. The reason I wanted to be a mod is to help out, not to try and control anything over here. Carry on my friends, carry on...
  3. I don't know, I guess you'd just say MMMM that's Beastly...

Again fellas, sorry for locking that thread and then deleting gashwound's other thread. It was a judgement call that I felt I needed to make at the time but looking back I could have handled it differently. Sorry.
  5. What the hell are you talking about?
  6. I find this hard to believe, especially since the baby was probably kicking inside for about 6 months or so.

Sorry to be the initiator of trouble fellas: First off, the reason I locked that thread to begin with was that it had his name in the title. I PM'ed Gash twice and acknowledged that I knew it was a joke. After the so-called "civil war," I was trying to stop anything else from happening. Second, I am a global mod and yes, I did talk to APU and he agreed with me that it shouldn't have had the members name in the post title. Third, this is a message board. I have no personal agenda for power. If anything, I'd do mostly anything to help this site out. I think most of you know that. Four, I did not pull off a stunt. This is a message board, I would just like us all to have fun. Again, I apologize for causing an inconveinience to all. Alex The locking of the thread is not what pisses me off, I can see where you are coming from there. Why the f*** was the other thread totally deleted. i made the wrong call 1549 and I apologize. However, I hope you do see my point of why the thread was locked. My intention was not to alienate anyone, that is the last thing I want to do. Again, sorry all.

aboz, come on man this was clearly a joke. I know it was a joke. Just didn't think it was cool to put his name in the title. But apparently, I made the wrong call and I apologize to everyone.

Per the request of many posters, this thread is unlocked. However, please try not to blatantly provoke other users in the subject lines of your posts, I don't feel that is called for.

The tribe has spoken Beastly, please bring me your torch.
  12. Agreed. This team had no heart or leadership. Even if they had made the playoffs, it would have been short lived.

Yeah I'm wondering how this thread got passed 10 posts I'm not, when I posted it, it was an instant classic...

To quote Chris Jericho, Would you please just shut the hell up?
  15. They will announce Roy Halladay in the next few weeks.

Did you not read what I said, you aren't going to get banned unless you act like a total jackass. Now quit asking me more stupid questions.
  17. aboz56 replied to aboz56's topic in SLaM
Give it up Beastly, don't even worry about it. As long as your behavior stays like it is, you don't have to worry about being banned. You can't control what everyone thinks, just be yourself and quit worrying about stuff you can't control.

Now, Now, Now, i think this discussion has strayed too far away from Bald Eagles, Landing Strips and Untamed Forests...Let's get back on course.
  20. Yea, the braces and cornrolls/braids/whatever the hell he has don't fit your stereotypical view of a Boston Globe sports columnist, that's for sure...

'97 was a totally different team anyhow, it was a lot of veterans and established players. This team is young and is capable of being good for a while. It's two totally different situations.
  22. This is all I could find thus far, as the complete box wasn't reported to Baseball America. If anyone gets the complete line, I'd like to see it. This is from the official AFL site: Solar Sox 10, Javelinas 5 Delmon Young (TB), Richard Lewis (ATL) and Kris Wilken (BAL) hit a combined .615 (8-for-13) with five RBIs and scored six times to lead the Solar Sox to victory as they beat the Javelinas 10-5 in Peoria. Solar Sox starter Chris Buglovsky (COL) pitched five innings and allowed three runs on six hits and walked two to pick up the victory. Facing a 3-0 deficit, the Solar Sox took the lead for good in the top of the third inning when they scored three runs on a Jason Dubois (CHN) double scoring Lewis, an RBI single by Wilken which scored Dubois and a RBI double by Young to drive in Wilken. Three innings later, Lewis’s two out, two-RBI double driving in B.J. Upton (TB) and Casey Kopitzke (CHN) highlighted a five run inning and put the game out of reach. Chris Schroder (MON) and George Sherrill (SEA) looked masterful on the mound for the Javelinas as they combined to throw 4 1/3 shutout innings in relief. Blue Jays prospect Russ Adams and Byron Gettis (KC) led the Javelinas offense as they combined for five singles, two RBI’s and a run scored. Solar Sox 023 005 000 10 12 1 Javelinas 002 001 10x 5 12 2 Solar Sox: Buglovsky, Veras (6), Ormond (8), Zumwalt (9) Javelinas: Cotts, Schroder (3), Thornton (6), Sherrill (7), Majewski (9) WP - Buglovsky (1-0) LP - Cotts (1-2) Save-None Time: 2:46

$$$$ I think they'll be inclined to spend a little, should have better attendance next season as well with the hoopla of a World Series title.
  25. Hopefully we know the manager by the end of the week. It's either going to be Gaston or Guillen. I'm going to stick with Gaston at this point, he brings the most to the table.
