  1. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 03:57 PM) Do you know she is on record as saying her most attractive feature is her vajayjay? I think she should have to prove it.
  2. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 02:43 PM) Between the first round and the last, Madrid gained a total of 3 votes. EVERY other vote went to Rio. So? The votes Rio gained came from people previously supporting Chicago and/or Tokyo. Hence, you can't say what would have happened if say Madrid went out first.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 01:27 PM) I like the show, but some of the cheesy stuff is irritating. Like the guy giving mouth to mouth to the guy who blacked out and his head was in the urinal. The endings are good how they make you pisse you have to wait a week. LOL I thought that was hilarious. And hey, if that kind of a blackout really did happen, that is definitely a plausible scenario
  4. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 02:37 PM) Interesting. So, votes that MAY have gone to chicago went with the sympathetic Madrid option. That would have gotten the USA in the 2nd round... and probably the finals. But int he End, yea... Rio would have taken it. That's impossible to know
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 01:29 PM) I was wondering too, but since he's on the major league club, they may not mention him at all. Nah, I'd highly doubt they pass over the guys just b/c they got a September call up. Esp since Dex Carter gets mentioned in the Sally League write up despite getting traded
  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 01:03 PM) Also, if anyone has a subscription and might be in chat, I'd love to hear about their reaction on the people I listed above. Maybe I should just subscribe. How much is it? It's not cheap. It's like 60-70 bucks I think. I almost registered once but figured I could fidn enough of what I wanted for free. I wonder where Hudson will be mentioned? He made most of his appearances at W-S right? Cuz he ought to be mentioned somewhere.
  7. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 01:09 PM) Agree with his awards except the "Least Impressive First Impression" part. Rios is a worthy candidate, but I'd have given that one to Tony Pena. If Pena could have stepped up we could have won a few more ballgames. That's a shocker. There hasn't been a less impressive first impression than Rios in a long time. I don't know how it could be anyone but him. For all the s*** Cowley deservedly gets, this article is pretty much spot on for the most part.
  8. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:59 AM) Birmingham? Pittsburgh? Detroit? Ick! I'd love to see Denver. Denver is also considering bidding on the 2018 Winter Games...although those will amost guaranteed go to Pyeongchang
  9. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) Chicago wont make another bid is my guess, it was a 1 time opportunity. My guess is LA or NY win the 2020 games. According to wikipedia the US cities with an early expressed interest are Bsoton, Detroit, Pittsburgh (really?), Birmingham, Denver and Minneapolis
  10. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:48 AM) I think alot of people were going to vote for either Rio or Chicago. I just think they all chose Rio and Chicago gets left behind. Now if Madrid wins, than I'm clueless. If Madrid wins, they need to re-think how host cities are selected.
  11. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:45 AM) Olympic Profit > Helping the lowly poor. *looks for eye roll emoticon*
  12. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:45 AM) I don't think this was about Chicago, but more about Rio. I think they really want to get in going in South America. Which is nice, but the jobs in Chicago would have been nice. I personally know people that would have benefited from this. If Chicago got knocked out in the finals I'd agree. but this was not about Rio. It was about making sure Chicago didn't get it.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:44 AM) Directly put, if you are European you'll be in the finals no matter what. Pretty much.
  14. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:42 AM) Here's an idea, take that millions of dollars you were getting from private entities and do something productive... fix the damn school. Hahaha right...cuz those private donations are going to keep coming in anyways
  15. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:40 AM) Yay, Daley won’t get to feed even more corruption into the city that might not have been able to sustain the Olympics anyway! I f***ing love Chicago, but we need to be realistic here. Politically, we’re corrupt to the core. People keep regurgitating this seemingly unaware that Rio makes us look like Mother Teresa.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:38 AM) YAY!! oh man yay!!! thousands of jobs won't be created in the city you live in the midst of a recession!!! The city we all love can't be put on a stage for the whole world to see!! Glorious day!!! + Infinity Seriously, some of these reactions are laughable.
  17. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:27 AM) PARTY TIME!!! :headbang
  18. Yes the Office was very good again last night. Flashforward also piqued my interest much more than the premiere episode.
  19. I'm really about as 50/50 as possible between Rio and Chicago. I went with Chicago b/c I don't think Obama would be going over there if they thought he'd be coming home empty handed. I know the whole first Games in South America thing is a big deal, but the crime/poverty/infrasturcture of Rio is really s***. And because Brazil is hosting the 2014 WC I feel enough voters will feel okay with skipping past them as hosts. And I too would love to know who voted Madrid. I honestly don't see any way Madrid or Tokyo could possibly win this.
  20. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 11:59 AM) Hudson/Flowers would mean nothing to them. Danks would mean nothing to them. They are so far away that they would need ready-to-go help at five positions to even think about it. Otherwise, they're far better off going for a one-star fan draw the next few years and hoping that other things materialize around him on the roster. They need so much help elsewhere that filling even several holes ...it's not an attractive option for them. I'm sorry but you're very wrong there. For a team like the Pirates those are exactly the kind of players that do mean something to them.
  21. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 30, 2009 -> 05:39 PM) Kayak used to be amazing. They are no longer a good place to search for international, if price truly is your object - because they don't search OTAs who sell nets anymore. So what would you recommend as the best place for Int'l flights then? I'm currently searching for a flight to Spain
  22. QUOTE (coco1997 @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 03:15 AM) I've watched this kid play all season and I love what I see. Considering what an inept organization Pittsburgh is when it comes to trading away good talent, I'd say a package of Fields+Lillibridge+Wise should do the trick. Your thoughts? I really hope you're joking. As for what it would take. They'd probably take Beckham straight up. Otherwise we'd prolly have to go with either Hudson/Flowers plus some combination of Danks/Shelby/Retherford/Morel
  23. Would love Kotsay to come back. Can back up at 4 positions, is a veteran, has a hot wife, and is a professional player. If Ozzie likes you it means you do things the right way. He won't hit .290 next year like he has with us this year but I'd expect solid contributions off the bench.
  24. The best i've found is kayak.com
