  1. Positives: - Richard pitched well - Did not get shut out - Had more than 5 hits - Did not allow Richmond to pitch a CG - Multiple stolen bases - Limited amount of times we looked comical in the field to less than 3 Negatives: - We did not have an off day today, and therefore had to play a baseball game - Everything else
  2. Well there's another loser. Says a lot about our team when I already am hardly caring if we lose, since it's become almost an expected result now.
  3. Why in f***s sake is Betemit not pinch hitting here?
  4. QUOTE (tommy @ May 18, 2009 -> 03:04 PM) Dotel with 18 consecutive scoreless appearances dating back to last season. Jinx.
  5. Knowing how hard it will be to score again, at the very least it takes Clayton off the hook for the loss
  6. Thome!!! Pleasant surprise, sure wasn't expecting that.
  7. AJ has been the complete opposite of a disciplined hitter today
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 18, 2009 -> 02:35 PM) For a rookie (basically) who wasn't expected to do anything, he does in fact look decent at the plate, and on the field. I've liked what I've seen so far. I think Nix actually is still a rookie.
  9. Nice to see Clayton step up and have a very nice game after a rocky start.
  10. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 18, 2009 -> 02:17 PM) I think the poor farm system is coming home to haunt finally as neither Getz or Fields seem to be capable of handling major league pitching. It is WAAAAYYY to early to be making that statement about Getz.
  11. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ May 18, 2009 -> 02:05 PM) GMAFB, where did anyone in America hear about this conflict? It was probably the biggest victory in the entire Global War on Terror and barely anybody knew it ever happened. Meh, it was a civil war that had been going on for 25-30 years, people were aware it was going on, but when it's the same thing for years upon years upon years there often isn't much that is going to make the news, especially when it does not involve your country of residence. In fact, there have been articles recently on msnbc that i've read the past couple weeks. Yes, and the article posted was absolutely fascinating. Yes Well if you say so it must be true.
  12. Nice AB by Getz there, unfortunately wasn't able to capitalize on it
  13. QUOTE (shipps @ May 18, 2009 -> 02:03 PM) the poop might wind up being epic... ...
  14. QUOTE (shipps @ May 18, 2009 -> 01:46 PM) I was optimistic with pods from the start. Not because of what he did for us in the past, I just felt he had a little somethin left. Pods has far from been the problem for this team. He's done admirably as well as any team could expect from a 4th option at a position.
  15. QUOTE (Baines3 @ May 18, 2009 -> 01:45 PM) 1-0 bad guys top of the 3rd. Can we please get runs a run!! Fixed
  16. Wow Richard able to get out of that inning unharmed
  17. Democrats wanted Bush to fail in 2006 So i stumbled across an article that linked me to a NY Post piece written in 2006. Below is just part of the article. Of course though, when Limbaugh said it about Obama, it was different.
  18. My brother and sister are both in the middle of obtaining their master's degrees...Sunday we were all at my parents house for dinner and I forget how, but someone mentioned the Magna Carta. They both thought it was written by the Pilgrims when they landed in Plymouth. I just shook my head...
  19. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 18, 2009 -> 10:15 AM) Cy Richmond gonna get 'em "Starting pitchers this year that are facing the Sox for the first time in their careers? 4-1 with a 1.93 ERA. Good news for Richmond." Via Cowley on Twitter
  20. With the abundance of picks we have this year, I wouldn't even mind if the Sox used a 4th-6th rounder and reached a little. These high ceiling type guys are worth it when you have 4 picks in the first couple rounds already made.
  21. QUOTE (Cknolls @ May 14, 2009 -> 10:53 AM) http://michaelsavage.wnd.com/index.php?fa=...amp;pageId=5938 Five minutes with the fathers of these children would save tax-payers a hell of a lot of money. Just curious, but why is this in the Republican thread?
  22. By the way, the statue is absolutely Tawaret, the Egpytian goddess asociated with fertility and childbirth. Also, interesting of note, is Tawaret is often mentioned with Apophis, the Egpytian god of chaos and evil.
