It’s so aggravating to see them go so cheap with signings like Taylor and DeJong. Revenue losses can only make sense for so long. Let’s hope for signings like Garfien, Fletcher and McKnight predicted. Are the lack of signings because they don’t want to pay players during the work stoppage or because they’ll get a better price when it is resolved?
-
Fair, what do you make of the remaining schedule? What do the Bears have to do?
-
So they should dump Robert and Benintendi during the season and sign some free agents? Like the goal can’t be to bottom out payroll if they want to have any attendance at all. And actually turn around this organization. There has to be a plan unless the plan is move to Nashville and spend then, or spend only when the strike gets resolved.

I’m cautiously optimistic since the Bears beat the Eagles. I did not have that one circled as a win and thought they would beat the Packers once, the Browns and 49ers and Steelers. I have a weird feeling, but think the Bears really need to beat the Packers to get over the hump in the NFC North even though they beat Philadelphia. I also want them to get a win in the playoffs and prove this isn’t 2018 and that they aren’t the Marvin Lewis Bengals. Are any of those concerns legitimate or am I off base?

I thought Tauchman was affordable and was arbitration eligible so he was worth the money. Injury and age concerns make sense, but not for Derek Hill. I don’t really understand what the front office is trying to accomplish. It is one thing to find players on a short term deal, but it is another thing to find players on a one year deal on a shoestring budget. I hope Brooke Fletcher, Connor McKnight and Chuck Garfien are right in that the front office is seeking reclamation projects. At this team needs players with some upside instead of just the youth movement on this team. Just don’t spend the money on Grandal and Keuchel types and find some players with some upside and value.

Would have been funnier with a doink. Sweet Bears win that was unexpected. It makes up for the cold game I sat in at Soldier Field where Fields was a fun watch but the Eagles coasted to the win.
-
Do people think the Bears will win on Friday and does anyone believe they will be healthier having not played some starters today to give them more time to heal?
-
I know what people will say here but I stopped listening to the Score during their show and really only listen to Mully and Haugh. Bernstein and Abbatacola’s podcasts gives me the sports insights that I need in the way I want to consume sports commentary. Harris and Rahimi lacks a driver and a certain style expected on the Score.

I thought that was coming after yesterday’s loss.

I wondered if you were in health care because of having to be onsite in Wisconsin. I believe Epic certifications need to be completed onsite and people need to work there first before they can work at hospitals/clinics.

We had “forced” downtime where he had to play quietly in his room if he wasn’t going to nap. That seemed to calm him for a while.

What skills are you seeking and what is your industry?

Booo…

Flus was a lousy coach, but there were a couple games last year where they could and probably should have won. Coaching and execution are showing up under this coaching staff and those close results are changing.
-
I also gave him a C, optimistically looking at the young talent this team has. I also can’t fault Getz if he truly doesn’t have money to spend and would point fingers to JR. The cynic in me could also give them a D for the overall record.

I thought he was hurt…Crosby must have manhandled him.
-
What’s the commentary about Kmet mean? I had Joniak on and sometimes he and Thayer don’t say crap. The Bears had games like this last year where they blew it in the end so it was nice to see a game like this go their way on the road.
-
Depends if the quarterback can execute or not. Rodgers played with some meh lines. So did Cutler.
-
I understand why people wanted Williams over Fields, but man I wasn’t feeling a quarterback change with the holes they had at other positions, particularly offensive tackle. I would have loved them trading the pick. Williams was the number one pick so he has to play like it. He can’t just run out of the pocket and has to throw towards the middle of the field. Be a damn gunslinger instead of a backyard athlete.
-
Why did they DFA Altavilla?
-
Williams needs to play like he was the number one pick in the draft. The offensive line needs to not have false starts. Montez Sweat needs to show up in the stat box at all. The team needs actual running back depth. Johnson is going to be here a while at $14 million per year.

That was a non story blown into something larger.😂

Beyond the two incidents below, what are the other chances he’s been given? Those were two separate events though and he was suspended for the first offense if I remember correctly. He did accept blame and fault. Aside from addressing the person on Twitter he got into a fight with and threatened, I don’t know what else he needs to do.
-
Fair enough. I can see that, but maybe he won’t apologize for specifics or get into the threat and Twitter spat even more. I think he deserves another chance and believe he’s learned a bit from what he lost. But then again, I like Bernstein and want to see him succeed.
-
I liked it, but I also like Dan Bernstein. At least he admitted he made a dumb mistake. Him and Matt Abbatacola were a good pair in late 2016 and should be now. I’ll be interested in where this goes.
