Has anybody ever read Dianetics here? Flaxx? Tex? I tried reading Battlefield Earth years ago, but that just sucked so bad I had to stop. 90 pages in and I was sick of the word "Man-Animal".

Peter Tomarken host of "Press Your Luck" is killed

Have to change what I said. I DID grow up watching the Peter version of this show! Man, I loved that guy! What a shame! -
QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) Yeah, and we complain about the state of music NOW!?!

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 08:44 AM) And you can thank our ENTIRE media for this. Yeah, that bastard Roger Ebert!!!

I hate musicals, but am more or less obsessed with The Marx Bros. and their films. It's a terrible confliction I am faced with.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 12:02 PM) Anyone listen to the new "She Wants Revenge" album. Anyone else find them to be a good mix of Bauhaus and Bowie influences? I'm checking them out now. Yes, they sound like Bauhaus, a little early Depeche Mode, Bolshoi, and all those bands that were running around the UK until about 1985. If this is what Interpol sounds like, then they sound like those bands I just mentioned also.

Read what The Museum Of Hoaxes has to say about that famous picture: http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/nessie.html

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 09:56 AM) The medication effects her badly. Well then, it's a good thing she's not on national TV or anything to cause tons of speculation of her "extra-curricular" activities. I was saying Paris before. But after the past two week, I think the little girl will get walked all over by Mandisa. She just keeps getting stronger and better, and her personality is great.

A place by my house did it for nothing, but the results were a bit of a mystery to them. They told me I should probably take it to the dealer, as their computer might be able to tell them what the problems were a little bit better, and also just in case anything was under warranty. But they didn't charge me. I don't understand why the dealer of the car that I bought would charge you. It seems like that should be a "courtesy" item for owning one of their vehicles.
-
My check engine light went on in my 2002 PT Cruiser. So I drive it to the dealer to get it checked to see what it could be. They tell me it will be an hour wait for my check, and that it will cost me $90!!! Shouldn't that be something they just do for owners of their vehicles, especially when my car doesn't even have 65,000 miles on it yet??? Man, dealers and so many mechanics are just out to f*** you over any way they can. I swear, the f***ing Mafia is run with more respect for people that those f***ing assholes.
-
Only an idiot would vote against Paris making it all the way. She's just going to get stronger and stronger as things go on.
-
That Cox girl (is that Heather?) and hopefully the b****. What's her name? The one that did Donna Summer's. I can't stand her, and she is just O.K., but her personality is so s***ty that she makes me hope she suffers complete failure on the show.

QUOTE(earthshiner @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 02:57 PM) Titus and Arrested Development Titus was great. Anybody else surprised to realize that his brother Dave was the same guy who played Scut Farkus in A Christmas Story?

http://www.themuggs.com/ These guys are pretty friggin' great. Hey...I'm starting to realize that Detroit might just be a hotbed for great music!!!

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 12:45 PM) Who the freak is Adam Rich? And is he really a star? Angelina Jolie is a star, but Adam Rich? It is like dancing with the stars. Are any of them really stars? I guess it depends on your definition of what a star is. I guess it depends on your age. In the 70's, you didn't get more famous than Adam Rich. Bruce Jenner was HUGE in his day, as was Todd Bridges. And yes, Adam Rich was probably more famous in his time than Jolie is during hers, and in his time, Bruce Jenner was bigger than any single modern day sports figure, aside from Jordan.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) Shouldn't that Adam Rich picture be in the "After They Were Stars" thread? That ultrasound could be Adam Rich's "Before They Were Stars" picture... EDIT: D'OH!!!! Kid stole my joke, before I could even make it!!!! YOU BASTARD!!!! You're sooooo predictable...
-
So then, isn't that picture technically a "After The Were Stars" picture?
-
It's been awhile since we've had a bona fide "Serial Killer". It could be good for the economy.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 08:50 AM) Was this guy on Eight is enough? I wouldn't know his name. From the angle, it looks like maybe Wee Man.

I like how the big mystery is what happened to the woman. Is nobody noticing that somehow the guy ended up in the freezer before her body was tossed on top?

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) Come on Kid, he's not the same person. Ah, I haven't looked too much into it all, or paid too much attention to the band and what has gone on "personally" with them. I just saw recent pictures of them and noticed the silly bassist was gone. I was wondering if he was a new guy or the same guy dropping the "image". Still, they have a normal looking guy now, so they obviously weren't looking for a guy to "fit the part". Thanks for the correction though. They get very little press on our side of the pond, atleast for this new album. I hope they keep having fun, but I hope they drop some of the obvious gimmick.
-
I hate contacts and am finally giving up on them. I would looooove to get surgery done. I'looked a little into it, and I have found about the $4000 price to be about it.
