  1. QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 09:27 AM) So, does the roll go over the top or around the back? People who go under piss me off.
  2. QUOTE(Cknolls @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) How much does a bullet cost? Hell with that, take him to a local farm, put his head under a tractor tire, drive away...
  3. The only thing that I keep going back to in my mind was when Maggs said that the Sox obviously weren't interested in winning a World Series since they were not willing to pay him the money.

    Spring Break

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 05:00 PM) What's everyone's Spring Break plans? I'm spending March 3~26 on South Padre Island. 13-17 is Texas Week, when things get the craziest. This year Oklahoma and almost all of the Texas Universities are out the same week. Any good message boards for spring breakers? Spring Break??? I'm 35...do I still get one of those? I'm going to tell the boss I'm going to Cabo Wabo for Spring Break, see if that one flies.
  5. Well, it appears that most of us are in just as good of shape as our fave celebs, and just as hot as all of them.
  6. This is the question that made me feel like an idiot on another board. I posted first, with I think Joe R. Lansdale. Everybody after me posted names like Jesus, Moses, etc...
  7. Doesn't he have a bum hip? Must be a real slow stalker. It's a good picture of him though. Is that his "Rookie Mug Shot"?
  8. So far I like pretty much all of the moves. I seems like they might be taking Bond into a good direction. In other words, they actually seem to be showing some respect to him again and not being completely concerned with it being a BIG EVENT movie. They may have finally realized that by just it being a 007 picture makes it an event.
  9. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 06:14 AM) Hey, it worked for the Doors. . . No it didn't...they sucked.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 02:57 PM) I am probably in the minority here, but I actually agree with him on his last line. Face it: These Olympics are little more than a marketing plan. Besides hockey the winter olympics suck ass. I am not saying that they aren't athletes at the winter olympics, there just aren't many good events or events that I find interesting. I would rather watch pretty much every single event in the Winter O, including Curling, than watch 1 friggin' second of Basketball, and that includes March Madness especially. All sports don't need multi-million dollar arrogance to be great. Amazing how the same house could turn out two such opposite guys in the same field of work. I like Greg a lot, and I hate Bryant.
  11. Section 1. While My Guitar Gently Weeps - The Beatles vs. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix vs. Baba O'Reilly - The Who Section 2. Street Fighting Man - The Rolling Stones vs. A Day in the Life - The Beatles This is cute, I'm actually not a fan of any of these songs...at all.
  12. In this day and age of EVERYTHING being videotaped and photographed, this is far from a surprise, especially when this "activity" is going on as much as it is.
  13. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 12:22 PM) Revis. They were on the Daredevil soundtrack, the official MLB 2001 video game(i dont remember if it was 2k1 or MVP 2001), I lived with them for about a year, right up until they moved out to California to "hit it big". They did good, toured on the Nintendo Fusion tour and briefly with Pearl Jam, but they broke up after their egos blew up a little. Nope, never heard them. I might know the song on the DD soundtrack though. I'll check 'em out.
  14. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 11:29 AM) I have a friend who hit it big a few years ago with his band. He told me that the money that bands make off of an album is a pittance compared to the money they make off of tours and merchandise. I buy cds I like, and a download also. I have been to too many concerts to count(although very few lately), and I think I have done a great job of supporting the artists I like. Like I said, the RIAA is just trying to find new ways to take money from me and I dont appreciate it. What band? Curious to see if we know the same people, since few bands in the area have "made it".
  15. Stapp started falling years ago, and then really started racing downhill on the infamous Chicago drunken performance. Steff, have you ever heard of Motley Crue, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin...ummmm...almost every band in the world. There is no shortage of "stories" out there, and word is that Def Leppard were the best at the groupie game. My band wasn't big AT ALL, and yeah, I got mobbed walking off the stage a few times. I never did anything, as I hate groupies and anybody who "swoons" over "star power", but the option was there. Have long hair and play in a band? Yeah, it's real hard to "get lucky".
  16. You might want to check and see how many of these cars have "White Sox" bumper stickers on them.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) Together.. allowing it to be taped..? Pretty f***ing stupid, no? No. This is hardly "unusual" behavior for bands. The only odd aspect if Stapp's supposed religious side. But he's been hammered in public and on stage recently, so he's obviously not all he says he is. Plus, do you really think this will hurt their image??? They're guys, nobody gives a crap about them. These video sales will be really low. Backstage though, and at parties after shows, in this day and age it isn't too hard to sneak in a little camera. Plus, what does Kid Rock care? Honestly? I'm surprised that there isn't an entire aisle in your favorite video store of "lewd behavior" of all your fave bands nowdays. I guess some fans just respect their fave bands more than others.
  18. Oh...my...god...Rock stars having sex with their groupies!?! Oh my god...why...I've never heard of such things...wow...
  19. Modern video games creep the hell out of me and I would love for my kids to never, ever, get involved with them.
  20. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) Huh? What did he say. . . ?? He said something about "quit hotlinking your pictures and get an account with www.photobucket.com".
  21. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 04:35 PM) Ahhhhh, the backhanded compliment....it's a dying art form..... You're just jealous that you didn't get mentioned. It's cause nobody likes you. I appreciate the words though Yoda. Thanks!
  22. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 11:54 AM) I guess I thought he was turning right. If not, then yeah, he falls in that moron category I mentioned. Yeah, but even on a "right turn on red" you have to stop at the red light...behind the line.
  23. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 10:55 AM) hi8is- I'm glad you are alright. But I have to tell you this: he was right. Crosswalks, just like sidewalks, are not for bikes. You need to be in the road, as you are a wheeled vehicle. If there is no bike lane, you have rights to the normal lane of traffic. This is the way the traffic laws work. There are many reasons why bikes on sidewalks are a bad idea, but your experience illustrated one. You are going faster than people on foot, and you make it difficult for people turning to see you in enough time to adjust. If you were in the road with the other traffic, they may be able to more easily see you. That all said, there are certainly plenty of morons on the road in their cars who could care less about bikes, no matter where they are. Gotta stay alert, which you did, so that is good. That's true, but according to hi8is here, the guy almost ran a red light. So even if he was 4 feet to the left, he would have been hit if the goon ran the light.
  24. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 10:28 AM) I asked because this question because a group of us were sitting around talking about it and only a few say it every day. I had a girlfriend once who would cringe when people would say "sorry". She felt that most times people say it they really don't mean it. I agreed with her. Then proceeded to say it often joking around with her. Then when I broke up with her, I made sure I didn't say "sorry".
