  1. Rooney is training Framer for his departure! LOL!!! Farmer just did Rooney's parts on the legal crap, including the "diseminated". LOL!!!
  2. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) Seriously though, Rooney said like the 4th game of the season, "nothing is better than a hot Carl." I did a double take. Well, maybe a Hot Toddy. Thelma, that is...
  3. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) 2 TRIPLES IN 2 DAYS FOR CARL!!!! THANK YOU CARL!!! You're welcome! Oh...wait...a different Carl...nevermind...
  4. My heart is friggin' RACING!!! Not good for a guy with high blood pressure. They better make this stroke worth it...dammit.
  5. I'm bummed this game is during the day. The boss might not appreciate me getting ripped here at work at around 2:30.
  6. You need to listen to more stuff on the actual records and not compressed on the radio. The 70's had TONS of upfront guitars. That's it, I'm doing that Humble Pie disc for you now...
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) Pods and Ozuna show off a little too much when they hit homers. I'm guessing there should be green there?
  8. Carl is the only one with a "show off" home run hit, right? I've been trying to think of somebody else that does anything "show-offy" and I can't thin kof a single person besides him. That's one of the things I love about this team, they hit a home run, they just run the bases and get back to work.
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 09:12 AM) today is the day we waited for all year. did i mention how highly i think of JC yet? this guy is the best thing going & we have em! i remember seeing him get bombed by the mariners in Peoria, Az in springtraining & having to listen to all the jabs by all the fans thru the first half of the season. Not to mention how he was rudely run out of NY. I CANT SAY IT ENOUGH TIMES....I AM SO PROUD OF JC! BTW we will play Anaheim right? Looking forward to some tailgaiting in the ParkLot with some of the fellas here! O.K., I am guessing you are talking about the Count. But you could also be talking about Crede...or Jesus just joined the team.
  10. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 09:12 AM) Kid if you want retro, check out The Blue Van-'the art of rolling'. Good stuff, The Animals kinda meets the Doors kinda meets the Partridge Family. They're from Denmark I think, the disc is very easy to find. I like it a lot and I usually hate retro. I'll look into them. I hate the Doors though...with an intense passion I hate The Doors. I don't know if I like "retro", I just like all sorts of stuff. Critic, I would LOVE to get some more of the 70's sounding productions. IMO much of the stuff today sounds TOO friggin' perfect, too polished. I prefer the analogue sounds, and nothing, but nothing beats a nice old tube amp sound recorded in the 70's.
  11. My euphoria has been reinstated. If they play the rest of the way like they did last night, and if it looks like the first half team is back, then I will be elated.
  12. My head is swimming right now and I can't think straight. This is going to be a loooong morning.
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 08:55 AM) Wait a second, so if we win today, we win the division? Why is this sooooooo confusing? :banghead It doesn't help matters that ESPN radio (Mike and Mike) this morning were reporting that a division win would only come with a win/loss combo today. We are in a weird situation in all of the AL kind of...except for those dang Angels. Stupid West Coast making it look simple.
  14. Critic and I were at the exhibition game in Milwaukee on April 1st. I can tell you that we both left that place fearful of the season. The team was TERRIBLE until the 9th inning. Then they showed some life, but up until then...phew...it stunk.
  15. If we win today, the most Cleveland can do is tie us. We beat up on them all year, so we are the best in our division.
  16. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 08:51 AM) SO if I get this correctly, the Sox have to win and Cleveland has to lose today for teh Sox to win the DIVISIOn today? No, the Sox have to win. It doesn't matter what Cleveland does.
  17. In other words, it paid off doubly that we beat the crap out of our division this year.
  18. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 08:41 AM) I am with you man. They have always been my second favorite team. I love the Brewers, and I love their park. So here's to pulling for them also: Would you believe the Twins are my second fave team?
  19. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 08:46 AM) The fan freindly award goes to- Man Soo Lee That seems to be a case of a "Lifetime" award though, from all we have been told. I really need to get seats at the bullpen next year.
  20. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 08:34 AM) Don't WE have to win and have Cleveland lose AS WELL to win teh Diivision? No. We have to win one more game the rest of the way.
