My wife followed the Peterson case REALLY close as she was the same term as Laci was when she was killed, at the same time. Not that my wife was killed at the same time and all that, but...ya know what I mean. Anyhoo. I haven't asked her about it all yet, but I know when she hears the verdict she will be dancing in the street. From everything she read, saw, heard, she believes Peterson is guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. I think one of the most damning things with the guy has been the 100% lack of remorse coming from him. Plus everything with the "other woman" is not real good. His wife goes missing and he plays it up to this person like nothing ever happened? Nah, the guy is scum.

QUOTE(Hall of Famer @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) Worst if I had to pick would be the Water Tower Place with the best being the Taste Of Chicago. Taste??? I was sooooooooo disappointed with that whole shin-dig when I finally ventured into it. Over-priced food, and none of it was any good. Do people realize just how bad Carson's really is? I'm a BBQ freak, and that place has to be the worst BBQ I have ever run into.

I actually have no idea. I should really start to give blood, and I should find out what type I am. I keep meaning to give blood. I feel guilty about it though.

"You must have a wide foot, you got both of them" "Everybody run, there's a giant s*** cloud coming!" "You suck! You don't deserve a car!!!" "We don't have a cow. We have a bull." "What, do I have a boog hanging?" "Wow, somebodies taking home a souvenier!"

I have to say pretty much everything within city limits, with the exception of a few clubs and a certain ball park. Other than that, there is nothing about Chicago I actually LOVE. Heck, I keep moving further and further away from the headache known as The City. They keep a lot of people there, and that is a reason to avoid it.

I agree. I am really excited about Tater also!!!

I had no idea Bruce Spence was in this one either! Bruce was the Chopper pilot in The Road Warrior and the similar character in Beyond Thunderdome, and he was one of the main Strangers in Dark City. Bruce rules, and I just found out about his character in the new film, and here is a picture of it: How friggin' cool is that!?!

Well, over on Mobius Home Video Forum, a site that can be trusted for pretty much anything mentioned due to the amazing film minds on it, one of the posters posted this about the new film: This was in response to somebody asking how this film could possibly be any good. I am not sure how the poster knows what he knows, or how he has seen it, but you can believe what he says. He is a very reputable poster on the site, and is "in the business" I do believe.

QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) Man this movie is going to be awesome... whats the exact release date? I think I missed it if it was posted in here Yup, it is on the 19th. The first one was released on May 19th (though the wide release was on May 25th), ESB was on May 21st, ROTJ was May 25th, TPM was May 19th, AOTC was May 16th, and now we are back to May 19th. Why do I know this? I was born in 1970, so I was the right age to be REALLY into the fact that my birthday was May 19th. Though my birthday on May 19th, 1977 was spent in the movie theater, it was watching Close Encounters, Star Wars was a short little while after that day. It had not made it to us yet, and had yet to become the minor hit it would become a few weeks later.

The fact that somebody would actually buy one of these things is a very simple way of showing how much people can suck. It's like using your parents (or whoever's) handicap sticker when the person is not with you. Just a simple example of people sucking.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 09:29 AM) I find myself quoting that and people around me giving me a blank look. There are actually people in this world who have NOT heard that damn line??? I'm guessing they would have to be non-musicians. EVERY friggin' musician in the world has quoted that damn line. Finally it seems to have run it's course for the most part. But sure enough, some funny new guitarist out there, when getting around people will have to belt out that line. To which most people in the room will roll eyes and give a "yeah, yeah...good one...".

"I wish the dead could back to life so that I could kill you again you son of a b****!" - Breakfast At The Manchester Morgue aka. Let Sleeping Corpses Lie aka. a million other titles. Anything ever to fall out of the mouth of Groucho Marx, either on film, TV, or from You Bet Your Life. The man was brilliant.

But I thought there was photographic proof that he and Sadam had gotten married in Las Vegas? Is this part of that whole "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" ad campaign now???

A League Of Their Own, plus it is one of the greatest films ever. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go give the wife a pickle tickle. LOL!!! And yes, John Hughes apologizes to Sox fans in the commentary for Ferris for using the Cubs, as he is a Sox fan.
-
LMAO @ Tex!!! You guys are silly!!! Back to the time machine, I have to say, atleast the eBay jokers are trying to get a little original. I was getting tired of all the "air instruments" and the food look-alikes. This one is actually pretty cool and a nice little critter. Being a HUGE fan of 50's Sci-Fi films, and a fan of all things 50's releated, this thing I actually would have bid on if I had the money. LOL! It looks like it fell out of a great old 50's B-flick.

I heard they were coming to town, are they doing some Post Office grand opening or something?

I'm surprised nobody saw Road To Perdition here, especially with a thread going on right now about favorite local films. But that Daniel Craig guy would be downright nasty as Bond. I am also a bit surprised at the lack of love for Dalton. IMO he was the second best Bond so far, second to Connery. But I also don't rate Brosnan that high. I would take him over Moore, but Moore still gets viewed for out of nostalgia. But that last Brosnan film was easily one of the worst Bond films ever. Terrible stuff, absolutley terrible. The two Daltons are two of the best Bonds though, IMO. I am not familiar with the first guy mentioned though. TV series guy, never watch TV shows. So by default I go with Daniel, but I can't see him as Bond really.

I own much of value. But any burglar will get the stuff gift-wrapped by me if they so wish, just so long as they stay away from my kids and wife. Go near them, and I have been trained to go for the face and genitals. Seriously. But I would never own a gun. Knives, martial arts weapons? Sure. Guns? Nope. But then again, I also believe anything in the right hands can be a weapon. There is no shortage of pens and pencils scattered around my house.
