  1. Diekman in now. He's been working on adding a cutter as a third pitch this spring. Is he the first Sox pitcher we've seen use PitchCom to call his own pitches so far?
  2. Kinda wish Yaz would be a little slower returning the ball to Kopech. Buy him an extra second or two before the clock starts.
  3. Dodgers announcers talking about Yaz not trying to run to 1st on a dropped strikeout, like they don't know from experience that he's a slow runner.
  4. Ooof. Hopefully nothing too serious.
  5. Solid day for Sox pitching. 13 Ks, 1 BB (which probably should have been a K), and just 4 hits. Unfortunate that 3 of those hits left the park, but that's less concerning to me than if they were getting consistently slapped around.
  6. Santos hit 100 on the stadium gun, per Fegan.
  7. Low quality contact but good hustle down the line for Romy to beat out the GIDP and get a RBI.
  8. Leury isn't a "one team player" though, he started with the Rangers.
  9. Definitely sounded more impressive on the broadcast than it looks here ?
  10. Colas just made an excellent catch in CF.
  11. There were runners on first and third in the bottom of the second, ball hit to Burger who stepped on 1st for the force and then the other runner stayed in the rundown long enough for the man on 3rd to score. They didn't count the run at first, but I guess they went back and adjusted and the app didn't know how to report it.
  12. Sheets just missed a homer foul, settles for a ground rule double to right on the next pitch.
  13. Gio looking good in the B game. His final line, per Fegan: 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K, HBP
  14. Leadoff double from Elvis. Colas groundout, Elvis to 3rd. Benny single to left, Elvis scores, 1-0 Sox.
  15. I threw some money on it at +4000. After seeing him more in ST, kinda wish I threw down a little more...
  16. Graveman probably could've gone another inning, since he only threw six pitches. I imagine we sent him with a 1IP limit though, since he had stamina issues last year and we're obviously going to be relying on him a lot this season. In other Sox news, TA just made a nice tag play to catch a guy stealing 2nd.
  17. Graveman with a nice inning. ꓘ, single, fielder's choice to get the lead runner, then a nice pickoff at 1st. 6 pitches, 6 strikes.
  18. Sox v. Sox matchup of Eloy vs. Padilla on the mound. Eloy hits a 107mph rocket double to the wall, a few feet shy of getting it out.
  19. Yo with a perfect day at the plate: 2-2, 2BB, 2B, 1R Luis made some solid contact with a hard hit RBI groundout and a deep fly to center left. The 0-3 isn't flashy, but his RBI was the first of the game and his run scored after reaching on a HBP ended up being the difference in the result. Cuba heads to the semis, and we'll be waiting a little longer to get our boys back in camp.
