Got squeezed by the ump on what should’ve been strike 3 on leadoff batter in the 4th. Ends up singling and scoring for the only ER

Combined no-hitter watch for the Cannon Ballers going into the 9th.

Keener: 6IP, 0H, 1BB, 7K

Luke Bell: 2IP, 0H, 1BB, 3K

Nick Altermatt: 1IP, 0H, 0BB

Kanny wins a combined no hitter, 6-0

I know we all get excited about the pitchers in Birmingham obviously but the trio of Keener, Bautista and Gordon is a sneaky fun one down in Kanny too.

There sure is alot of pitching to dream on in our minors.

Nice to see Thorpe and Cannon on the big club too.

Neither look overmatched so far with the big league club too which is exciting. So many young and fun arms in the system. Anxious to see what the bats down on the farm look like after the draft/deadline.

Is the pitching development with coaching, data, etc way ahead of the hitting development? Cuz it seems that way.

It doesn’t appear that we have a hitting version of Bannister just yet.

And haven’t even really had a consistent/identifiable approach at that spot since Greg Walker.

Yesterday’s minor league starters pitched 24 innings, 6w, 33k oh and a combined 3 runs. Happy birthday to Ricardo Brizuela!  21 today , on the year 27ip, 2.33 era , 34k to 3 w. ACL but maybe interesting?

Yep.  If Sox are gonna make some trades, they need to get some hitters.
