Aaron Rowand was on the Mike North Show this morning. He said he got an offer from the Sox 2 months ago, and never heard anything from them after that offer. Rowand waited and waited to hear from the Sox, and the silence told him all he needed to hear.

Anyone given any thought to the idea that Crede might get dealt tomorrow. KW wasn't out running his mouth that much over the past few days. Makes me think he is trying to act on something. I fully expect Crede to be offered Arbitration, but I wouldn't be shocked if he is on the Dodgers, Phils, Brewers, etc. by this time tomorrow.

I believe this is just simply avoiding arbitration. Wasn't he traded from the Cubs to the Twins not too long ago.

Can anyone come up with a deal in the past where a team gave up this type of prospect package? I know Cabrera is real good, and Willis is a good veteran pitcher... but what team could have come close to matching this offer. The Tigers blew every other deal out of the water.

Bill Hall is someone the Sox are very very interested in.

We may be stuck with Uribe. Word out of STL has the Cardinals and Pirates talking a deal in which STL would get Jack Wilson and Matt Morris (two bad contracts) from the Pirates for a couple of low rate prospects.

I'm not sad to see the Twins lose Garza. Now just have them trade Johan, and hope Liriano never is healthy again and we are set.

The Angels also have to give up their 1st Round Draft Pick to the Twins for Hunter.

The USSMariner puts an interesting spin on this. The Angels gave Hunter the same exact deal Ichiro got 4-5 months ago... and Hunter is no where near the player Ichiro is.

The guy who gets screwed here is Reggie Willits... unless the Angels are going to trade him or Matthews.

How about getting Chris Burke? I am okay with Richar for 2B... but would like to have someone here to compete with him. In Burke we could get a guy who could play 2B and OF. I think a change of scenery would do him wonders. The Astros have already signed Geoff Blum (I guess they like his late inning heroics) and are said to be close to a deal with Kaz Matsui. If this happens, Burke could be had. Burke for Sweeney and Aardsma? Burke for BA?
