  1. I haven't been paying super close attention to this game, but this guy has wanted to call a strike several times and has just deferred to the first/third base ump. No confidence in himself.
  2. also, am I the only one imagining George every time Jason Alexander comes in to pitch? Ellard and Eisert might have a future here. I might call up Schweitzer and option one of those guys or simply DFA Alexander.
  3. I think the Sox have been shafted more than any other team. Venable needs to be more vocal, glad he finally did something. https://umpscorecards.com/data/teams It's true according to this."framing" is probably a factor.
  4. Wow. it was stupid to begin with. Good for Venable finally.
  5. He was good at A+ and the season is over, so why not. I wouldn't mind if Bonemer got some ABs at Birmingham. I guess they called up Sprinkle.
  6. How does he have 8 Ks already???? Shouldn't the Sox be familiar with him? is this a career high? It ties a season high. Benny has made some nice plays tonight
  7. I'm lazily learning Greek, I thought 'γυρ' was pronounced like 'yeer'
  8. Also, Clev got ROCKED in AAA today. He's not joining the team. I still think the only reason he's there is the minority owner who may or may not have shares anymore, but probably did when he was signed
  9. yeah I wouldn't really want to rely on Yoe Yoe as a starter next season. He's been serviceable but is a AAAA kinda guy.
  10. Made (#5 Pipeline prospect) is making his AA debut against Birmingham tonight. 18-years-old. Wonder how he'll do.
  11. Fauske is listed at 6'3, Carlson at 6'1...that doesn't look right.
  12. I'll be sure to try this the next time I order one. I expect to be slapped.
  13. It's a good point. I was just glancing through baseball reference and there are some guys who you might consider to be solid (it's a stretch) but they're almost all entirely pitchers. Pretty much everyone in the staff this season is a late round pick. Maybe Romy Gonzalez is turning a corner. Brooks might be a solid player. I think the difference is, and it's yet to be proven, there are some pretty nice position players in the system currently that were picked after the first round. Bonemer is the key one, he has star potential IMO. I really like Fauske, Hodge, Lodise and Ely Brown out of this year's draft. Ely Brown is my new favorite minor leaguer. Very early to say. Antonacci looks very solid. DePino and Wolkow have some potential. Those are just the position players. Obviously we'll see what happens.
  14. Colson has beat out a couple would-be DPs. Didn't think he had it in him.
  15. Yeah after looking at the map, it doesn’t bear east until it’s above 15th street. Is that where the station is being discussed? So no detour necessarily or likely digging. I’d have to look into this more.
