  1. The estimate was $6 million. He signed for $5.85 million.
  2. The guy isn’t worth a million, yet stupid Getz paid him $6 million because the Sox basically didn’t want to admit that they made a bad draft pick.
  3. Osik doubled down on his comments about Vaughn…
  4. Season after season, you suck to the tune of an OPS barely above .700 as a #3 overall pick, and you aren’t working hard on your swing with coaches in the offseason? Instead, he was working on his golf swing. I bet he has a good handicap though. What a bum…
  5. BOOM. And there it is. And this organization let Vaughn get away with this crap and kept starting his worthless ass. What an indictment of Vaughn and the Sox. No wonder he sucks.
  6. The big question is did @Dick Allen get his own bobblehead today?
  7. The Red Sox only want our young aces, not our bust first basemen.
  8. It is a weird headline because Duber never really provides evidence in his article about how he knows fans want Elko called up. He could have said “White Sox fans on Twitter” or “White Sox message boards”. I bet most average Sox fans don’t even know who Elko is.
  9. Yes, they are… https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/topic/44615-rule-5-to-cws-shane-smith-discussion-thread/
  10. He had an outside shot at MVP that year too.
  11. A couple rolls of quarters should do the job.
  12. Congratulations for the worst take and post in the history of this site.
  13. Let’s see what he’s traded for. That would be the true and ultimate review right? I can’t wait to see what top prospect he is traded for…
  14. Dude, Getz… PROVE ME FUCKING WRONG!!! P.S. — He is failing me so far…
  15. Prediction, and not even bold… All these posters claiming Vargas has figured it, won’t be around when he’s putting up a sub .600 OPS in a few months. This s%*# is embarrassing.
  16. Notice how he didn’t actually specify cutoff? ”More than one season of at bats, that's for sure. Players can improve year over year.” So how many seasons is that? More than one season could be two or several…
  17. No, I’m not. I’m just not buying it. I hope to be wrong though.
  18. Are you actually expecting or just “on-pacing” 2 WAR based on 10 games of plate appearances? It isn’t the WAR number that is all that questionable. It’s the limited sample size.
  19. Vargas is at 713 career MLB plate appearances. That is over a year of PA’s. His career line is currently: .183 / .280 / .316 / .596 I hope to see you back here in a couple months and we can reassess.
  20. “On pace”… famous last words. Sheets was on pace to be a star. Now he’s on pace for his usual shitty season. The larger sample size usually reigns supreme in the end.
  21. He had 650 awful MLB plate appearances with the Dodgers and Sox before his last 10 game hot streak. How many plate appearances is giving a guy a chance to you?
  22. Which is the smaller MLB sample size for Vargas? His first 650 or so plate appearances with both the Dodgers and White Sox in which he was one of the worst hitters in baseball or his most recent 50 or so plate appearances in the past 10 games in which he is hitting out of his mind? It would be great if he keeps it up but I wouldn’t wager a dollar on it. The law of averages will catch up with him. Some posters were sweating Gavin Sheets’ hot start and @caulfield12 kept raving about it. I said give it time, and his massive swoon has already begun.
  23. Perhaps, but what is a couple weeks in AAA going to do for a 25 year old that has pretty much maxed out in AAA already? He’s going to have to be on the roster at some point.
