The Sox have one of the coolest logos of all time. Remember all the Starter gear that rappers wore from the Sox and Raiders back in the 80’s and 90’s? We need a good team, not a new logo.

This probably just proves that Osik’s comments were accurate. This is likely still just a fluke hot streak, but perhaps Vaughn didn’t take things seriously until the Sox sent him down to AAA and traded him for a mediocre pitcher.

He should probably just play regardless of matchups. We all know Rojas is gone after this season, if he even lasts that long.

At this point in the season, why would you ever start Rojas, especially over a guy who will be here next season in Mead? And the even bigger question is — why hasn’t Rojas been DFA’ed yet?

Pretty sure one is an MLB pitcher. The other is a toothless bum that became the Cubs unofficial mascot.

Take a look at Hudson’s numbers last year with the Brewers and then wonder why Getz ever gives up any young prospect for an old questionable reliever ever again. Hopefully he has learned his lesson for good.

Forgot about this rule change. I still think that some team would claim Civale if the Sox put him on waivers.

With Soroka hurt, I wonder if the Sox could see if Civale clears waivers and deal him to the Cubs? Civale is owed just over $2 million for the remainder of the season after the Brewers sent the Sox around $1,236,828 to cover the difference between Vaughn’s and Civale’s contracts. I guess at only $2 million, teams would probably claim Civale.

Extremely doubtful that Robert/Boras would entertain that. Robert has zero incentive to do it. He already gets $20 million for next season with the Sox looking likely to pick up his option. He then has another $20 million dollar option for 2027 or a $2 million dollar buyout. So he is pretty much guaranteed $22 million at this point, if not $40 million if both options get picked up. He either gets to be a free agent at age 29 after next season or at age 30 after 2027. Why would he agree to your proposed deal? Boras isn’t doing the Sox any favors. He would rather take Robert to free agency sooner rather than later.

@Chicago White Sox had a great idea. With Beni being so bad on defense and his contract being a sunk cost, along with Sosa being bad in the infield, why not convert Sosa to LF? I guess the problem with Benintendi as a full-time DH is that you can’t get both Teel and Quero in the lineup as well. Benintendi is a roster problem.

I said this in the Robert trade thread right after the deadline. I assume Getz discussed Robert’s option with Jerry and Jerry agreed to pick it up if the trade offers were crap. Otherwise, you would just accept a crappy offer. And yes, if they give Robert his buyout after the season, Getz should be fired.

Cut Rojas and give Mead some run at 1B.
