  1. I honestly don’t see how he’s any better of a manager than Grifol. He’s just better at schmoozing the media. Grifol usually said something stupid the second he opened his mouth.
  2. Regarding Cannon, according to Brooke Fletcher, the first step in Venable’s injury assessment process is to trust the player.
  3. The Sox continue to do this, no matter who is in charge. This is as funny as when they brought back our injury-prone guys early and told them to run the bases gingerly instead of at full speed. EDIT: Haha, just now on the broadcast Brooke Fletcher said that Venable’s first step is to trust the player in the team’s injury assessment process. Meanwhile, posters in last night’s game thread immediately identified that Cannon’s velocity was down and something didn’t seem right.
  4. The entire blame is on Jerry. He continues to hire poor GM’s and doesn’t let them make their own decisions or spend on the right players. He’s a meddler and the Sox will be in a rebuild loop as long as he owns the team.
  5. Along with Wirtz, but this will be a new baseball stadium potentially without another sports owner pitching in.
  6. Working for Jerry is like being John Cena. You just need Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect and you have a job for life.
  7. @Downtown Brown. I will never forget all of the hilarious Jeep references.
  8. I believe he thinks you are Garrett Guest — White Sox Assistant Scouting Director and VP of the South Oak Jeep dealership.
  9. Is there even a big market club that doesn’t already have a better performing CF than Robert?
  10. I noticed that Venable’s buzz word after a loss like this is “reset”. “We just need to reset and get ready for tomorrow’s game…”
  11. October 29, 2020. Never forget…
  12. Crapra — a better pitcher than hitter.
  13. Agreed. Hahn got burned three times by this.
  14. To what? Nature taking its course? Taylor got a hit!!!
  15. I watched this whole game for this moment — to see Taylor pinch hit.
  16. I really don’t think so anymore.
  17. Wilson is literally going to throw his arm out of its socket and both his pitch and his arm will be knocked out of the park. On the positive side, the bullpen will be improved.
  18. First pitch popup for Robert after a leadoff HBP to Palacios. Then Rojas hits into the DP on the second pitch. Fuller is a fraud.
  19. Absolutely no one has figured out that one yet. He shouldn’t be in the majors.
  20. Bryse Wilson with the sexy line, and an ERA now approaching 7.
  21. 3 homers for Carpenter. Players always get their firsts against the Sox.
  22. Canario actually turned 25 in the beginning of May but your point remains. I wonder if WE would still give me crap for wanting Canario when we are forced to watch a 29 year old Palacios instead. At least Canario might improve and be around next year.
