  1. Anything can happen, but confidence is a good thing. Ego is not. But this BR team is playing hard from start to finish and not taking anything for granted. They have blown out their first two playoff opponents and have yet to allow a point.
  2. I ordered a month of NFHS Network for $14 bucks. You can then cancel it immediately so you are only charged for a month. When I went to cancel mine, it offered me a second month for only $1 dollar. So it isn’t a bad deal ($15 bucks) for the entire playoffs. The lamest thing ever is that you can only stream from a single device at a time, so I am not able to play two different games at the same time.
  3. And Hudl. So lame. Brother Rice TV is pretty good. Mount Carmel’s broadcast is awesome.
  4. Yep. I had to order a month of the NFHS Network to watch some games and the feeds are either great with announcers or absolutely terrible with no announcers.
  5. Yep. Does anyone think Getz will sign a player better than Quero? Maybe a guy like O’Hearn will be better for a year but he’s 32. Moving Quero to make room for O’Hearn would be dumb as hell.
  6. I don’t think so. He’s been pushing this letter to Jerry to interview for GM gimmick for years.
  7. Yeah, no and no. Witt Jr. will never be a Sox player unless he’s pushing 40 and that’s when Sox fans would joke about it.
  8. Just got off the phone with my son — he said BR is going to destroy St. Charles North on Saturday. That is the mentality of the entire BR team. They don’t give a f***, and think they can destroy every opponent put in front of them.
  9. Probably. Unfortunately it’s just one more year of control as a bullpen guy likely lessening his value since he isn’t starting. It could be worse though — imagine if we got Cade Horton’ed?
  10. Basically a demotion. Wouldn’t be much a surprise as most Sox GM’s and coaches don’t have much success after leaving the Sox.
  11. I would just see if Sosa can play 1B to lessen his defensive deficiencies. Maybe he figures out how to take a walk every now and then eventually. I don’t care about Jerry’s money, but Ryan O’Hearn does dick for this team.
  12. Also from having a bad GM and poor scouting to think Benintendi was worth that type of contract.
  13. Acquiring a lower tier and less desirable free agent 1B like Ryan O’Hearn is living in a White Sox offseason reality. Meanwhile, talking about these guys is living in a White Sox offseason fantasy world… Naylor Alonso Framber Schwarber Murakami Let’s at least try to be realistic about a White Sox offseason in which the GM himself insinuated that he won’t be spending much money in free agency.
  14. Why are we even talking about these other hypotheticals when we already know Jerry wouldn’t approve spending the money that Naylor, or any of the other players you mentioned, will cost?
  15. Apparently you would only last as Sox GM for a day then. Remember how Hahn held a press conference when he described looking to hire a manager that sounded exactly like AJ Hinch? And then Jerry said hold my beer and cigar, Rick. I’m hiring my old buddy TLR? Yeah…
  16. “Seidler family to explore strategic options for Padres, including possible sale“
  17. And a lot more money that Getz isn’t allowed to spend, which is the key.
  18. Old man with dementia and Twitter is a dangerous combination. Bruce LeVineLine’s tweets have long been filled with funny misspellings and other utter hilarity.
  19. He’s on the Crochet path. The Sox will slowly turn him into an ace just in time to trade him to a contender.
  20. I’ll be impressed if they get theirs down to as low as what the Sox will be come opening day.
  21. I read that they were going to cut payroll quite a bit compared to 2025 opening day but I read that it was still expected to be around $85 to $90 million for 2026.
