  1. “It’s working… they are falling for it. I should be able to milk at least four more years before I sell this flaming turd to Justin. Great job, Chris! I am promoting you to Executive Vice President!”
  2. Not sure how much TLR is doing these days. He is looking very old and frail after seeing him in a picture at a Sox game with Dombrowski.
  3. Currently? Free yearly MLB.TV through T-Mobile along with VPN. In the past, I used to find various live MLB streams on Reddit. But there are also websites out there that work. I sent you a PM.
  4. The “increase Robert’s trade value” game.
  5. Schriffen just busted a load in his pants.
  6. And you really think it’s their fault that CHSN removed their OTA broadcast? Not that Xfinity demanded it? Or do you think that if enough people in Chicagoland figured out how to connect an antenna to their TV, that Xfinity wouldn’t have made the deal with CHSN to broadcast the network because they wouldn’t be able to steal away all the antenna users?
  7. It will be interesting to see what he signs for if he becomes a free agent. I agree that he will likely sign a 1-year deal to recoup his value, like WE and Bob Sacamano said. Moncada was able to get $5 million from the Angels and he’s been injury-prone and unproductive for years. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Robert sign for 1-year and $10 to $15 million.
  8. Dude, do you really think people don’t know how to buy an antenna and screw it into a TV? You are obviously just upset that you lost your free access to White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks games. Yeah, it sucks, but this isn’t the fault of Chicago sports fans. CHSN has been working on a deal with Xfinity since we first heard about the new CHSN network. Xfinity isn’t going to agree to a contract to broadcast White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks games if CHSN is also giving it away free to people in the Chicagoland area. Why would Xfinity agree to that deal and then lose a large share of their target market?
  9. RBI double for Robert? SELL HIM HIGH IMMEDIATELY!!!
  10. It probably had a lot to due with the age of the vets he was acquiring. One of Hahn’s few good free agent pickups that we already discussed was James McCann, but he was still relatively young (28) when Hahn signed him. But still, it’s amazing that any GM could be that unlucky and never hit on at least a few good veteran seasons on one-year deals.
  11. Yep, and why would Xfinity agree to a deal if they could lose the local Chicagoland market to a $10 dollar antenna? It makes sense, but the timing just sucks. Chicago fans had free sports for several months. Back to free T-Mobile MLB.TV and VPN for me…
  12. Haha, I remember that. It was at that moment that I realized that Machado just played Hahn to make his buddies some extra money.
  13. WSI had Dark Clouds and Pollyannas. SoxTalk has the Sith and the Jedi. 🤣
  14. Horrible memories, lol. Was there truly anyone that didn’t think the Sox would wind up with Machado after they acquired Alonso and Jay? The majority wanted Harper but Sox fans were just so excited about adding a star player that people didn’t really care which one the Sox winded up with.
  15. James McCann still blows away Tauchman and Slater but yeah, Hahn mostly signed veteran bums that never had that magical season.
  16. The Sox have tended to lose many games in hilarious and unique ways the past two seasons. At least they are still providing some funny moments for their viewers.
  17. I used to think you were one of the biggest optimists on this board. I even thought you were a bit homerish in thinking that every Sox prospect would succeed. Now I just think that you are a realist. Either I was just wrong of Jerry has finally beaten all the optimism out of you. 😢 😉
  18. I’m not certain but I thought many people predicted around 50 wins? They are on pace for 54 wins right now.
  19. I think I’d still rather have Canario playing RF over Tauchman and Slater. The only value Tauchman and Slater have in a non-competitive season for this org is what they are traded for at the deadline. Chances are more likely than not that whatever return Getz gets for them won’t be worth much of anything. Old veteran platoon bats / backups just don’t return much, and that’s what both Tauchman and Slater would likely be for contending teams. Is anyone still excited about Jarold Rosado? We had one big trade chip in Robert, but unfortunately he crapped the bed.
  20. I don’t think we will want to see how a .195 batting average at Charlotte translates to the MLB.
  21. I believe you mean “dwelling on much of the history of the franchise” under Jerry. 🤣
