You will be told by two posters that you are stupid for listening to anything that the owner or new GM said in those press conferences. Which is funny because that means the owner and GM failed miserably this season, were full of s%*#, or are liars. I think it is all three.

Ozzie telling Chuck to shove it and that Ramos should be starting at 3B over Vargas who sucks with the glove.
-
Nice quote, clown. Great job on your offseason and the trade deadline. Where is that improved defense and leadership? Oops…

Does anyone know why MLB.TV now shows the Sox pre and post game with Chuck and Ozzie when they would black it out in the past? I’m not sure why or when it changed. Does anyone know?

If he’s not ready to get at bats in a historic losing season, he will never be ready. Remember that Getz called up anyone and everyone early in the season, which was supposedly against his own plan. The scrubs he signed in the offseason were supposed to be placeholders until the prospects were ready, but Getz quickly started calling up guys. Therefore, I doubt Colas is long for the White Sox regardless of what Barfield says.

He needs to go. The guy has had more negative plays than positive. You cannot have a guy sitting back on returns who muffs a third of them back to the other team for a quick red zone appearance.

Could we Match (or beat) Phillies from 1938 - 1942?

They will definitely beat those records this season, but I doubt they will put up those kind of numbers for 5 straight seasons. Maybe 2 or 3? And Jerry is setting his sights on a new concession item for next year that can top the Campfire Milkshake. -
Skip Schumaker — Sox 1st choice at manager

Yep, I just wanted to get my Hawkism in. -
The team is also worse because you suggested trading for Dominic Fletcher instead of Jake McCarthy. Shut the hell up, Josh.

Skip Schumaker — Sox 1st choice at manager

Are you serious? The Mariners are at least a .500 team right now (actually 73-71), have the 7th ranked farm system per Baseball America, and they are willing to spend money. If you were a quality manager, would you choose to sign with Jerry and the White Sox who are going to set the worst record in MLB history this season, are rumored to drop their payroll to $100 million this offseason, or the Mariners? Do you typically enjoy career suicide? Quite honestly, it’s hard to think of a worse team for a manager to choose than the White Sox. Also, the only manager Jerry was willing to pay big bucks anytime recently was his buddy TLR. -
Well, Kopech did have 5.1 scoreless innings before he left the Sox so he’s been good for about 21.2 innings straight. India is mediocre and is a free agent in two seasons so he wouldn’t make much sense for the Sox to acquire, but neither did Vargas who is terrible. And the “LOL Sox” narrative is a thing. They have the worst owner and GM in baseball, which is why they are going to set the record for futility. Amazing that anyone would even try to defend the Sox or that almost everything involved with the team isn’t an epic failure. Do people not understand the record they are about to set? Fletcher, Vargas, etc., etc. It’s one big gigantic embarrassing mess.

Skip Schumaker — Sox 1st choice at manager

I doubt he would want to leave his 16,000-square foot home in Scottsdale, Arizona for this s%*# show. -
They would be best to roll with Fields and see if he’s worth giving an extension to. Russell Wilson is toast.
-
Getz grabbed a GM job that no other team was offering him anytime soon. But it will likely result in a much shorter front office career for him because he is going to have a terrible win/loss record with this team. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t find another job in the MLB after his tenure with the Sox. Just look at Kenny and Hahn.

Skip Schumaker — Sox 1st choice at manager

Yes, it would be a very wise career choice to avoid Jerry’s circus. Most managers end their careers with the Sox, if you look at the last 10+ years of Sox managers. -
Still paying attention until they set the record for ineptitude.
-
Yep, too many tipped passes and he doesn’t have Fields’ height.

Per Boob…
