  1. “Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports that the the trade talks between Kyle Tucker and the Cubs involve Seiya Suzuki and Isaac Paredes. Suzuki has recently been mentioned as a potential trade candidate by the Cubs, in part because of his desire to not be a designated hitter. Tucker heading to Chicago would open up right field for him. Meanwhile, Paredes would slide into third base if Alex Bregman was to leave the Astros. There would almost certainly be prospects headed Houston’s way, but this would be a way to move Tucker and not take a massive step backwards for 2025 and 2026. Interesting.”
  2. Yep, I missed the post you were responding to. I agree with you then with Robert just getting some pieces now, as well as just keeping him until the deadline instead so he can recoup his value. But I don’t think either Jerry or Getz agree with us.
  3. Which means in comparison the Sox should do better than “some pieces” for Crochet.
  4. More recently, Santander and Canha as well.
  5. I’m not complaining. Looks like a better pick than You Don't Mess with the Shane Drohan.
  6. A starter would’ve been better but it’s nice that this guy is still relatively young with good stuff. It shouldn’t be all that difficult to keep him on the roster.
  7. Basically, Getz has to nail the Crochet trade and the Robert trade to a lesser extent for there to be any hope of building a decent lineup in the near future. This means absolutely no salary dumps and no acquiring any more guys like Fletcher and Vargas.
  8. Exactly my question, haha. Can’t remember if anyone had mentioned him as a top option, or an option at all.
  9. Was this guy listed in any of the Rule 5 articles?
  10. Yep, so Burger wasn’t really a bad pick. I doubt he was ever going to play good D but two Achilles tears sure didn’t help, although neither did his build.
  11. Probably right because of his lack of defense. But as long as there is a DH in both leagues and he keeps hitting homers, he’ll have a job somewhere until he ages out.
  12. I’m not sure what “at the time of the initial trade” matters at this point? The same 1.5 years have passed for both Burger and Eder. Eder has pretty much busted and Burger has continued to hit some dongs in the majors without any defense. The Marlins got back the Rangers #17 ranked prospect, plus two additional prospects, for Burger. Meanwhile, Eder is currently the White Sox #22 ranked prospect.
  13. You wouldn’t trade Eder for those three prospects right now? Eder who fell to #22 on the Sox top 30.
  14. ”Who wants to bet the return is better than one Jake Eder?” I never said Jake Eder at the time the Sox traded Burger. It’s also been a year and a half later for Burger too.
  15. That doesn’t make me feel any better about him. He’s made almost $2 million so far being terrible at baseball. Time to sack up.
  16. Oops what? You’d rather have a 26 year old pitcher with a career minor league ERA over 5 than three young prospects? Good luck with that. For someone who has talked about getting back quantity in trades, that really makes no sense.
  17. Yep. This is Getz finally admitting he made a bad trade.
  18. Seriously. Colas should just beg for his release.
  19. Who wants to bet the return is better than one Jake Eder?
  20. After what Max Fried just signed for at age 30, I doubt Crochet will be considering any sort of extension unless it’s a massive one, not just 3 years.
  21. Here’s the article… “As Red Sox lose out to Yankees on Max Fried, team preps Corbin Burnes offer”
