Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
I’m sure Reinsdorf has numerous properties in the Chicagoland area, and probably still does. Maybe he stays at a property closer to the park during the season for a quick commute? Even before he got a place in Highland Park, he had a home in Northfield that he sold in 2020… https://www.chicagotribune.com/2016/04/20/jerry-reinsdorf-sells-northfield-home/ But basically, yeah, Tray’s post about where Ishbia decided to live doesn’t really mean much of anything.

CHSN to be available on antenna in Chicago
Agreed. I have been without “cable TV” for ages. At the beginning of this year, I upped my Xfinity Internet speed to a gigabit down, which came with a free year of Peacock Premium so I can get all the big WWE events. 🤣 I have an Nvidia Shield Pro on my main TV and Onn 4K Pro boxes on my other TV’s. I use antennas for OTA channels and Stremio and RealDebrid to stream anything I want for free, including live channels. I also get free MLB.tv each year through my son’s T-Mobile cell service. I can’t imagine paying Xfinity/Comcast for anything other than Internet. I even looked into AT&T Fiber Internet to dump Xfinity altogether but it isn’t available in my area yet. If you know what you are doing, you should be paying around $100 bucks a month at most to watch anything you want.

I heard this being discussed on sports radio. From what they said, Comcast simply doesn’t make that much money in these deals, especially not for three currently bad teams. And Michael Reinsdorf is acting like a clueless old man yelling at the air.

Doesn’t Jerry Reinsdorf live in that other White Sox fan bastion called Highland Park, just 10 minutes away from Winnetka?

4/2 game, they going to get the game in?
I guess we should find out soon, perhaps by tomorrow. It would make sense to cut an outfielder with Tauchman being activated.

2025 MiLB Catch All thread
Makes me wonder if he’s simply not being honest about his back. If he’s more or less healthy, then not good…

4/2 game, they going to get the game in?
If he isn’t, it’s proof that he’s the teacher’s pet. Getz needs to make the move regardless as he is the GM, not Venable, and Jankowski is obviously the worst outfielder currently on the roster.

4/2 game, they going to get the game in?
I can see that happening just because no other team would want Jankowski. 🤣

Players Currently In DFA Limbo
Eguy Rosario was outrighted, so I guess Canario was one of the only interesting DFA’s that was traded for.

Yep.

Torpedo Bats
But didn’t TWTW outweigh or make up for just missing the 1/32 of an inch?

Schriffen does it again...
Decent, but I’ll raise you one Chuck Garfien with Bruce Levine’s hair…

New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab
LOL, the Red Sox jersey looks like some ugly ass soccer jersey, but with buttons.

New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab
Other than the flying sock and “Southside” trim on the shoulder, how would anyone know these are White Sox jerseys? Anyone who sees someone wearing these is going to think that it’s a Bulls jersey.

But Jerry has proven he has no problem spending money over the years so why even try another billionaire? **crickets** **crickets** **crickets**

You have already seen how terrible the team is under Reinsdorf for numerous years and would prefer to continue his awful regime of ownership rather than see what a new owner with more money could potentially do? “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Also, Ishbia somehow screwed over Twins fans by showing interest in the team but not actually purchasing them? Huh? That’s ridiculous. It isn’t all that rare that someone is interested in purchasing a team and a potential sale falls through. And I absolutely love your very last sentence and the fact that you apparently won’t attribute it to Reinsdorf as well… “As Americans, we should all know by now that immense greed is a disease that spreads quickly among the billionaire class.“ Also, as a counterpoint to this point — I’m sure Dodgers fans are hating their billionaire ownership group right now in Guggenheim Baseball Management and Mark Walter. A World Series last year, the highest payroll in baseball, and an 8-0 start this season. Damn those greedy billionaires!!!
