Unless he was lying, JR did say that one of his favorite players was David Eckstein, and that he would love a full lineup of Eckstein’s. If that’s the case, it is possible that JR would have no clue what a good offense looks like. But I’m sure he made the statement because a lineup of Eckstein-type players would be cheap. It was also the same press conference in which he said that they weren’t going to be in on Ohtani. 🤣

I wanted to trade him because I was worried about another injury. Now it looks like he will suck AND he could likely get injured at any moment. Double whammy.
