  1. Exactly. It’s pretty much being in the position of how could any other owner be worse than JR?
  2. Getz has to justify his trades. That means Vargas starting and Fletcher still having life. Fletcher is terrible and it’s obvious the Sox don’t like Colas but he is afraid to cut either one to add a 24 year old outfielder with power in Canario? It doesn’t make much sense.
  3. Hopefully this is what happens cuz you know what’s going to happen if he makes it to the season — he won’t make it to the trade deadline healthy.

  5. Jerry was deeply pained when Getz gave the Cubs cash considerations for Thaiss. He wasn’t going to let him do it a second time.
  6. My guess is that the lack of options is the much bigger reason, as teams have pretty much finalized their 40-man rosters with ST having started.
  7. Cash considerations, lol. Awful. But I guess it’s a good thing we will get to watch several outfielders well into their 30’s get plenty of at bats with the Sox this year. Our primary right fielder is 10 years older than Canario. Stupid. Canario was added to the Mets roster because Nick Madrigal was placed on the 60-day injured list with a left shoulder fracture.
  8. Hopefully he sticks with this. The thought of his son ruining yet another Chicago franchise for years is disgusting.
  9. The Sox are currently in last place this Spring. https://www.mlb.com/standings/ They finished in last place last Spring with a 9-20 record as well, so perhaps there is some correlation with being bad in ST and being bad in the regular season?
  10. If by “cut” you mean sent to the minors after the game, yes, that’s what happened. He wasn’t “cut” as in DFA. After he left the clubhouse before the end of a 5-1 loss to Anaheim on May 29, 2004, he was called up again in June. He was traded a month later on July 18, 2004 with Gary Majewski to the Expos for Crazy Carl Everett. https://www.tampabay.com/archive/2004/06/21/white-sox-pitcher-back-in-clubhouse/
  11. Isn’t Law and more or less saying Teel could be impactful mostly because the Sox other two catches (Lee and Thaiss) are so bad?
  12. DOH… “Austin Hays went 3-for-3 with two homers and six RBI on Monday, leading the Reds to a blowout victory over the Dodgers in Cactus League action. Hays continues to make a strong impression early on in Reds camp with his two-homer explosion only adding further fuel to the bounce-back campaign fire. He’ll have plenty of RBI opportunities with Elly De La Cruz and Matt McLain on the bases and a return to 15-20 homers isn’t out of the question at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park.”
  13. The Sox are averaging 3 runs per game, which is a big improvement over last year.
  14. Sounds like this Clevinger to the bullpen thing is going to happen. Stone talking about it.
  15. He’s a big dude. I don’t see how he is staying at SS.
  16. Better than advertised.
  17. Lord Meidroth interview. @Chicago White Sox missing out…
  18. Yep, the streams you found probably work just as well. I know there are free VPN extensions for Chrome on a PC. I bought a Windscribe lifetime VPN license really cheap years ago back when they use to sell them that way. Since then, VPN companies mostly went to monthly or annual licenses to make more money obviously.
  19. Vargas with a blooper!
  20. I just tried the CHSN app and it works fine. The live feed looks good. But yeah, it checks your location and finds your zip code. It has the reverse blackout rules that MLB.tv has, haha. So my guess is you could use a VPN app on your phone, tablet, smart TV, or TV streaming device, set it for Chicago, and it would work.
  21. Just don’t look up last year’s stats for those new guys.
  22. Steve Stone just said Vargas looks good with the added 20 pounds of muscle but “hopefully he can make some contact.”
  23. That added muscle will just make his strikeouts look better.
  24. Not as good as the Rangers 30+ minute inning but at least a couple guys made contact. Vargas is still clueless at the plate.
  25. That was an absolutely putrid graphic.
