  1. The sad thing is that Dalbec probably has more power than Vaughn.
  2. What bat size does he swing? 🤔
  3. Yep, DFA in early May 2016. The Sox ate a little over $13 million of his remaining $14.25 salary for 2016.
  4. Dallas Keuchel’s DFA on May 28, 2022, and what was remaining of the final year of his contract and $18 million salary. The Sox ate roughly $14.1 million that Keuchel was still owed for the remainder of the 2022 season. Hays and Lorenzen are/were good examples of flippable FA targets that should be within the Sox spending range. But it sure seems like anything above $3 million is too rich for Jerry’s blood this offseason.
  5. I like how all of a sudden The Rock is back to being a babyface and he was cracking a joke to Cody Rhodes with Rhodes laughing, as if he never supported the new Bloodline a few months ago, mocked “Mama Rhodes”, and whipped Cody with his belt. 🤣 I thought ret-conning that ridiculous only happened in comic books and movies!
  6. Brought back a bit too soon. People could get over Hulk banging his buddy Bubba the Love Sponge’s wife but they didn’t forget about his racist comments. Combined with the obvious shilling of his crappy beer, it was one of Triple H’s worst collaboration ideas in recent memory. Also, perhaps Hulk should have had his son Nick stay home on his promotional tour of a beer? How many DUI’s is Nick Hogan on by now? I mean, he already put his best friend in a wheelchair with severe brain damage. Just a terrible look and Hogan and his son are absolutely clueless.
  7. Neither guy will be coming here… “Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports that free agent right-hander Jeff Hoffman is seeking a contract in the same range as the three-year, $38 million deal that Clay Holmes signed with the Mets.”
  8. He definitely was. I must have brought @JUSTgottaBELIEVE to the dark side… I’m hopeful on some prospects but we are still the Sox and the Sox usually ending up Soxing things up. And Jerry will never spend the money it takes to win, but perhaps like you said he will be “gone” in 3+ years.
  9. Yep, as long as Benintendi is still around and the Sox expected to be bad again in 2026, I wouldn’t even be expecting the Sox to be looking for a free agent outfielder next offseason.
  10. Teoscar and Conforto will be in the corners.
  11. Your argument is still flawed. You initially said that Lorenzen wouldn’t make sense for the White Sox because Lorenzen would cost “$19 million potentially...we don't even want to pay Robert that”. If the Sox signed Lorenzen to the exact same deal that KC just did, they could choose to not pay Lorenzen the second year option for $12 million regardless of how good or bad he performed. Lorenzen would effectively have no say in the decision if the Sox just wanted him for one year at $7 million.
  12. DePaula is ranked the #48 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Getz would jump on a one-for-one swap of Robert if offered, while dumping Robert’s salary for Jerry. I don’t see it happening though since the Dodgers are already stacked.
  13. Do you know how mutual options work? Unless there’s also a buyout, it’s $7 million. https://www.mlb.com/glossary/transactions/mutual-option
  14. Would have been a nice flip candidate but even $7 million is probably too rich for Jerry’s blood.
  15. He had value, but to a contender, not the Sox.
  16. I’m starting to think that Jerry ditched his “2nd place is great” mantra and is now embracing the perpetual rebuild due to how much money it saves him.
  17. 25 year old playing rookie ball last season. .746 career OPS in the minors.
  18. And while Aaron Rodgers is a wacko, even he made a joke about potentially getting released at the end of the season by a teenager.
  19. Because pocketing $100+ million and going with a $60 million payroll is a lot more fun for Jerry.
  20. $24 million and a $5 million buyout for that effort.
  21. It will likely cost the Bears. Early mocks have the top two OL going at #9 and #10. My guess is that both guys will move up before they move down. As always, a meaningless win late in the season is pretty much never worth what you lose out on, even against the Packers. And the Bears are definitely the team that needs the best LT available, period. https://www.tankathon.com/nfl/mock_draft
  22. Harold is sad… 😉 https://www.si.com/mlb/yankees/news/sources-yankees-have-shown-trade-interest-in-dodgers-gavin-lux “According to Pat Ragazzo of Sports Illustrated, both the Mariners and Yankees have inquired with the Dodgers about second baseman Gavin Lux. Ragazzo notes that the Yankees called about Lux several weeks ago — before the Dodgers signed Hyeseong Kim to add to their infield mix. He also notes that the Mariners have been much more aggressive in their pursuit of Lux. The Dodgers haven’t publicly said that they’re listening to offers on Lux, but it seems like something has to give there after signing Kim to a three-year pact earlier in the week. Stay tuned.”
