  1. Agreed. I had Getz’s offseason as a D, which was only saved from an F due to the Fedde signing. I was then going to give him an F for the trade deadline because he failed to extract good value out of Fedde (plus Kopech). However, the Banks trade bumped my trade deadline grade for Getz up to a D.
  2. Around $25 million dollars, or Bryce Harper’s annual salary. And this happens almost every year from my memory, but I’d have to look back and do the math.
  3. Sheets shouldn’t even be at DH. If he has has options, send him down. Or DFA him. I don’t really care. He’s has proven himself to be worthless over the years. Since Benintendi “has” to play due to his contract, DH his sorry ass.
  4. Both returns were on par or better than what the Sox got for Fedde/Kopech, while the Sox at least had the better trade asset than Rogers.
  5. Sorry, this excuse won’t work. The Marlins are a desperate seller almost every year and they had a great trade deadline of selling their assets. Try again…
  6. Or, he doesn’t have the ability to get a decent return for his assets (see Fedde trade).
  7. Letter grades A through F please.
  8. Embarrassing.
  9. He’s already 26. Bring him up.
  10. Yeah, it will be down from the $130 to $140 or whatever it was at this season. But the Sox had so many players leaving that it was already go to start out well below $100 million.
  11. As they should. Getz had a miserable offseason and an even worse trade deadline.
  12. How the hell is Getz’s best trade and return from Tanner freaking Banks?
  13. WhiteSoxDave of Barstoolsports wrote an article including a tidbit of news that Jerry is having Getz cut the payroll once again this upcoming offseason to around $100 million. https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/3520789/breaking-down-todays-big-3-team-trade-between-the-white-sox-dodgers-and-cardinals-involving-erick-fedde-and-michael-kopech
  14. The return had better not be that good.
  15. What an epically horrible trade deadline for a team that supposedly had numerous assets to deal. Getz packaged Fedde, Kopech, and Pham for a lesser return and prioritized saving money for Jerry. Losers, all of them…
  16. Can’t manage to trade your two best assets for anything and get back an underwhelming return for Fedde, but Getz and the Sox damn sure know how to shed some money.
  17. We had to have paid almost all of his salary for them.
  18. Thank god. Trading Eloy will bump up Getz’s trade deadline grade.
  19. Getz gets a D for his offseason, only because of Fedde but he gets an F for the trade deadline for not maximizing the value of Fedde or any of the other flop candidates he acquired.
  20. They are morons.
  21. I’m not buying that bogus Twitter account.
  22. I was assuming we were going to acquire 3 bats to plug and play into our lineup almost immediately. Meanwhile, we got one questionable bat only.
  23. Don’t ask me… why didn’t Getz get any prospect(s) from the Cardinals?
