  1. “Shitpost”? I hope when you do your “shitposting” that you are wearing your Depends instead of underwear. Fortunately, I still have a few more years to go before I have to worry about that predicament. But yeah, Getz’s acquisitions have done wonders at luring fans to the ballpark. He should’ve dumpster dove even more this offseason. It’s truly working… Even casual Sox fans know that Getz’s offseason was horseshit. You seem to be the only Sox fan I’ve seen who actually defended it. “Some semblance of chance of winning” already went out the window after their historically bad start and definitely by now with their current 3-21 record. It’s still too small of a sample size for you though, so I’ll get back to you once they have played more games. Regarding Fedde, I still don’t believe he will keep it up, although I hope he does so they can quickly trade him for something before he turns back into a pumpkin. Don’t forget how Crochet was an ace after just three starts. Meanwhile, you defended Getz and his awful offseason acquisitions of guys like DeJong, Lopez, Fletcher, Grossman, Soroka, Flexen, etc. I’d say you’re batting a lot worse than I am on the offseason thus far.
  2. Could be. But he’s also 37 now so last year and this year could just be natural decline for his age. Everyone seems to realize that old guys fall apart except for our new GM. See Maldonado (37) and Pillar (35).
  3. That was pretty funny, lol. About the last thing I expected to read. So out of place, haha.
  4. I heard that he usually goes for a quick swim before bed to stay active.
  5. Back to being on pace for a 20-142 record. They made up enough losses to cover for that random win and get back on track.
  6. Yes, that makes sense. And guess what, that will further drop the payroll even more, and well before the deadline. Almost like a certain someone had his newly promoted minion follow his orders exactly how he drew them up? Hmmmm…
  7. Almost time for another fantastic finish? Don’t forget to flush it.
  8. If .750 OPS players are truly stars, the poor White Sox will never be able to field a competitive team. Jerry and Getz like to sign .650 OPS guys who are a year past retirement on the cheap.
  9. Remember when Crochet was an ace after three starts and we were going to trade him for a haul? I miss those days.
  10. And Amed Rosario has played 2B, SS, and RF for the Rays, currently sports an .843 OPS, and signed for $1.5 million. I also wanted him THIS OFFSEASON, not in April after a historically bad start. You will argue he would have never signed here, which is fine. But I still don’t think you even understood my post. I wouldn’t have even bothered to sign Pham when Getz did. The season is already lost so do you really think it matters either way? Are you truly excited for Pham to join this 3-20 team, soon to be 3-21 team, and save them? Clevinger too? It just further proves what an awful job Getz did this offseason. The guy had to sign additional reinforcements well into the start of the season because his roster was so awful.
  11. I wouldn’t mind if we got our own SoFi Stadium but we aren’t getting a $6 billion dollar stadium.
  12. Stone’s tweet was pretty embarrassing but he knows who signs his paychecks. Sox fans are shredding him in their replies. It’s quite amusing.
  13. Where’s @Dick Allen? He’ll love this quote. Meanwhile, these were Grifol’s comments from yesterday… “Pedro Grifol talks accountability, but White Sox' offense has nothing to say” ACCOUNTABILITY!!!
  14. Agreed, I just don’t think teams will view him as a guy like Lynn or Giolito with a history of past success so they won’t give up a big return for him, although the second cheap year of control will likely boost his value a bit like you said. But this is assuming he keeps this up until the trade deadline…
  15. I watched up to the 8th inning after Kopech had shat himself. I knew what was coming so I switched over to Shogun as well. Great move by us.
  16. Exactly. People must forget how Hawk would go silent for innings at a time whenever the Sox were losing. With this team and it’s losing ways, he’s be fuming and Stone would have to carry each broadcast.
  17. Yeah, cuz our lineups could never hit lefties/junkballers. He was mediocre to bad against most other teams.
  18. “I can’t wait either.”
  19. You gotta admit, his hyping of Bruce “Cy” Chen whenever he faced the Sox was other worldly levels of embarrassment.
  20. No one shits himself in bigger situations than Kopech. It will be nice to finally be rid of this bust at the deadline.
  21. $75 million dollar man comes through!
  22. So is any team out there interested in giving up anything for a 1B/DH on a hot streak playing out of position in RF? If so, Getz needs to move him as fast as he can.
  23. Easy answer there. Great show.
