I just made you waste 10 minutes completing this post. It was literally a joke… 🤣😈🧌 Trust me, neither you nor the Sox make me “butt hurt”. I doubt Houser wants to sign an extension right now instead of riding his hot streak to potentially more quality starts and more millions as a free agent in the offseason. And as a free agent, there’s no guarantee he will resign with the Sox. Trade him at his peak value for a prospect or two and try to bring him back in the offseason if you still want him. Anything else makes no sense. If he continues to excel, you can still try to bring him back. If you manage to extend him now and he tanks in the second half of the season, you are stuck with an old mediocre starter in your rotation for next season.
