  1. My buddy just ordered 3 tickets (300 level) off of Ticketmaster last night two take his two young sons to Game 4 tonight. Must have been close to $1000 bucks after the service fees and tax.
  2. Haha, I guess everything is perspective. Now imagine being a fan of a team that has gone 162-324 over the last 3 seasons and doesn’t have a single player anywhere near as good as Jose Ramirez. Sox fans should get the entire Tribune and Sun Times to air their complaints, not just one page. 🤣
  3. I believe teams can actually request to play more day games but it is ultimately up to the MLB to approve scheduling. It’s all in the CBA. Night games obviously make more money which is why they are the majority. But day games at The Rate are like a ghost town.
  4. No one could say that with a straight face.
  5. The Sox play night games because they don’t draw enough for more day games like the Cubs. It’s as simple as that. It’s not that Sox fans enjoy night games more. Jerry is all about the dollar. He’s not worried about what Sox fans want. If Jerry truly cared about what fans think, he wouldn’t be throwing a team out there that is almost perpetually rebuilding and that has lost 100+ games in 3 straight seasons. Like you said, “These billionaires are not foolish.” That includes Jerry.
  6. The Sox are signing McClung out of retirement, along with bringing back Clevinger for the fourth straight year so that shareholder bro has buddies to party with.
  7. The kids must also not be listening to our All-Star announcer. What a shame…
  8. Didn’t realize he learned to hit and gained some power. Man, that Madrigal pick was so ass.
  9. Here comes the historic comeback.
  10. When did Brad Keller become good?
  11. Was he in the Madrigal draft? Bunch of little slappies in that one.
  12. Brad Keller didn’t get any outs for us, lol.
  13. Looked like he could have.
  14. Blown squeeze. Cubs played it perfectly.
  15. Umps just saved Quintana.
  16. To the guy who has been swinging at everything this post season. What a dumb pitch. Even my Cubs fan buddy said that was a moronic pitch to PCA.
  17. Priester choking.
  18. I remember posters on the board being interested in trading for him at that time because Vaughn was consistently mediocre to bad every year of his career.
  19. Michael Boooooosh made up for his error.
  20. If I was that camera guy that he gave that dirty look to a few weeks back, I would have punted him for 50 yards.
  21. I seem to remember the Sox being interested in him but @Y2Jimmy0 said the Sox only viewed him as a reliever. The Jays ended up paying him 5-years, $32 million and gave him a shot as a starter in the minors and in the majors last year. My guess is the Sox didn’t make that high of an offer to a guy they viewed as a reliever.
  22. Interesting. With all the talk about what Vaughn added to the Brewers since they called him up, I was thinking of a stat that could show how many wins he likely added since WAR wouldn’t really work. Here’s the definition for WPA: https://www.mlb.com/glossary/advanced-stats/win-probability-added
  23. I think I’d rather see them in Arlington Heights. Maybe being direct neighbors with the Bears would create more Sox fans, attendance, and money to spend, but if they continue to suck, none of that will happen regardless of their location.
  24. Agreed. I think they will offer him a 1-year deal through salary arbitration. The only 1B prospect they have that is close to ready is Luke Adams I believe.
  25. 5-years, $40 million to have a manager that takes off his hat and looks defeated in the first two games of the NLDS. 🤣
