I also watched an interview with Getz in which he stated the same thing. Boyer helped convince Jerry to sign Murakami because of the marketing dollars it would return. I don’t get why you seem to think this is some sort of conspiracy theory. We all know Jerry is a stingy bastard. The main reason for the low payroll is the age of the players on the roster due to Jerry’s aversion to spending money in free agency and a continuous strategy of rebuilding. Mune was $34 million plus a $6.5 million posting fee. That’s chump change in today’s free agency.

Wisconsin is weird as f***. So you can’t legally smoke weed, which is fine. It’s not legal in WI. But you can drink beer with your parents or legal guardian if you are 18, or apparently look like you are 18. But you have to be 21 to drink by yourself.
