  1. The alternative is that Jerry lives forever and continues on with a payroll at the bottom of the entire MLB. Yeah, I’ll take the unknown.
  2. Didn’t Rahimi and some other idiot say that the Cubs shouldn’t trade Joc Pederson (on a 1-year deal) for Cease in 2021 and also said the Cubs would say no to that trade offer?
  3. Considering the White Sox payroll has decreased from its peak of $193 million in 2022 to currently $77 million (after the signing of Seranthony Dominguez) over the past 4 seasons, @Kyyle23 is spot on. Do you really need to even make a comparison to other teams in the AL Central to realize that this is true? This article and excerpt below is from last week, prior to the Dominguez signing. You don’t decrease your team payroll from its peak to one of the lowest in baseball over 4 years by signing mostly higher tier free agents in that time span.
  4. This dude is making the rounds… Yankees designated INF/OF Marco Luciano for assignment. Luciano was on the Yankees for four days. Since the end of the season, Luciano has been on the Giants, Pirates, Orioles, and Yankees. It remains to be seen where the former top prospect ends up, but he’s just 24 years old, so there may still be a chance for him to establish himself as an MLB regular.

If you as the wrong question, Boyer will put you on his naughty list and mean mug you the rest of the night.
  6. I wouldn’t count on any for longer than that. I’ve pretty much given up all hope…
  7. That’s only because you know you are getting an interview with Jerry if Getz has another 100+ loss season.
  8. Yep, he was part of that influx of TJ surgeries last year which sucked.
  9. Haha, strange. They have won 83, 83, and 92 games the last three years. Breakout city!

Not a surprise you haven’t heard anything on him. There hasn’t been much if any news I have seen on him either since his TJ surgery.
  11. I’d rather see this happen than sign Tauchman. Sosa can alternate at LF and DH with Benintendi. If Tauchman wants to sign an MILB deal as an NRI, fine.
  12. Well, Bader has been signed so who do you want now? Hays? Tauchman? It’s just a pile of junk left after Bader.
  13. The Sox have unproven outfielders that they want to give a chance to with playing time and at bats. Not to mention Montgomery that will be arriving soon.
  14. It’s not bad but it doesn’t make sense for the Sox IMO.
  15. Jerry Reinsdorf has been the controlling owner of the Chicago White Sox since January 1981 and the Chicago Bulls since 1985. You mentioned him spending during the time Chuck mentioned, as well as the MJ years. That tells most of the story.
  16. I just thought it was funny considering he was just about the perfect player for the Mets to give up considering their roster and that he was out of options.
  17. The Mets did not want to give him up…
  18. Not at two years and this price…
  19. Oh yeah, they got the 69th pick in the 2024 draft and Santos couldn’t stay healthy.
  20. And the not so good trades… Santos Cease Houser Robert
  21. Good video reference. Luckily, Garfien actually worded it correctly. ”In 2022, they had a payroll over $180 million dollars. The problem was how they spent the money and who they spent it on.” Acting like spending money is bad is ridiculous.
