For me it's not about Tim Elko, it's about literally anyone replacing Andrew Vaughn.

Vargas has been the biggest success story of the year (obviously assuming his better play sticks). For as bad as the Sox have been, Meidroth/Quero/Vargas/Smith/Cannon having major league success has helped soften the blow for me.

Things could make a lot more sense and provide fluidity if you dropped Vaughn like the loser he is.

He is ultimately going to be a utility guy. He has just been playing outfield way too much. Needs work out there, and let him go mash in Charlotte for a month or two.

I’m not real angry. I’m sports angry. Also part of the fun is wanting to see a team fail as much as you want to see your team succeed.

What else am I supposed to do? The Sox season is over so I’m rooting for the Cubs to be failures. Also, and I don’t mean this in a derogatory way or anything, but you don’t live here. It makes it less annoying for you when they are good.
