Great win and one that solid teams pickup to avoid sweeps against the other team's worst starter, even if that's not exactly how we beat them. Best we've seen Burke?!

Man. How do we get this Burke every game?

Hell of a bounce back. Love this team.

The gauntlet is over and we went 6-5. You definitely take that.

If you haven't had dinner yet. Eat Italian !!

Like Tim Anderson used to do when his wife made him spaghetti .

1) Going 5-3 against the Braves, LA and the Yankees has to be viewed as a good thing. 2) Antonacci can;t be too pleased being benched against lefty pitchers. 3) I don't know what the rules are now in terms of making trades. But its obvious that the team needs at least one starting pitcher. The sooner the team gets another starter the better off they are going to be.

Yup, I think we can take 2/3 from Detroit and than Cle as well. 3-3 would be fine but gotta at this point be thinking higher against teams you're probably better than.

Sam is an exciting rookie on an exciting team that can't hit LHP for s%*# so far, we're trying to win to we gotta optimize. Don't think anyone is upset at all. Also keeps him fresher on a team that so far, looks pretty deep.

He's also been hit by what, 15 pitches?

That has a cumulative effect, just like catches getting beaten up behind the plate over the course of a season.

There are only two remaining teams in MLB without a loss streak of 4+ this season: the Braves and your first place White Sox.

And ATL is on a L3 with Misiorowski up next, so the Sox are well positioned to be the last team standing

Such a difference from the last couple seasons

Would like to be 10 games over .500 by the end of June and a healthy 3 games ahead of Cleveland.

Absolutely. I would have been satisfied going 5-6.

Breaks a 10-game losing streak in the Bronx.

On to Detroit.

Glad Junior Perez contributed by gunning down Volpe at 3rd base.

They need two starters but no one is trading right now and as the thorough story today in Sox Machine pointed out help probably isn't coming from the minor league system.

How the Sox shore up the pitching staff is anybody's guess right now.

Took a series from the Braves, the Dodgers, then went 1-2 against the Yankees. Can't complain about that.

We're gonna get Sonny Gray from the Red Sox. Book it.

That would be a start but they need more than him and Boston probably isn't going to be willing to trade him for another month.

Would be nice if Getz tried Ben Peoples. He's usually been very conservative about using minor league RP arms if they need a spot on the 40.

However, if you can promote a good arm who can actually throw strikes and get hitters out you can help the team out without a trade for a RP.

They're not with to go crazy with trades this year. I don't see them doing anything bigger than a Sonny Gray-type trade.

I didn't mean a "stud" pitcher but from a numerical standpoint. To me they need two starters and probably a relief pitcher or two.

and all of those games against the Phils were winnable.
