  1. Just ran into this little gem last night, and wow. 12 1/2 hours of b-sides, remixes, covers and live performances. Right now I have about 20% of the collection, but I'd love to actually find this thing in retail.

Irony and karma are once again victorious. This guy deserves to be jailed and piss tested for the next five years. See what hillbilly heroin (Oxycontin) can do to ya?
  3. Lets limit this to 5: 1) Munoz - Still might be converted to a starter with his evil curve. 2) Sanders - Has put up stellar numbers over the past 2-3 years, with the exception of 2000. 3) Fields - Good H/IP ratio 4) Bajenaru - Good comeback year 5) Hummel - Plesant surprise, got knocked around at High-A BTW, Castro started two games at Low-A Kanny, so I doubt he's a relief prospect.
  4. I'm just going to throw in this macro because it's hysterical:
  5. Because he threw the economy into the s***ter? Just a hunch.
  6. Damon has just about a zero percent chance of being paralyzed. Most likely he got a very severe concussion. I wouldn't be surprised if he had an anuerysm as well.
  7. Damon just got flat out destroyed, my God. I did enjoy seeing that dumb drunk ass Oakland fan get put into a headlock, though. I sincerely doubt Damon will play in the ALCS, if Boston does in fact win.
  8. Part of me wants to say the Cubs will win, just because of their pitching. But on the other hand, the Marlins lineup and pitching also scares me. Man oh man, I'm thinking Beckett Prior Game one.
  9. You're a f***ing blowhard, jesus f***ing christ.
  10. Thanks Bears, you just f***ed me out of a portion of a 1200 dollar pool. Assholes.
  11. 1) Honel - Selling point is how he limited left-handed batters to a sub .190 BAA. Knuckle-curve is supposedly borderline evil (I thought VanBenschoten's was better after looking at both. VanB has a hammer), and I keep hearing how his velo is back around the low 90's. Changeup is developing nicely. 2) Cotts - If he can even iron out his control problems, the Sox have found themselves a gem. I don't see why the Sox are teaching him a cutter when he can rarely find the strikezone. From limited action in the bigs, needs to develop his curve more. Changeup is plus. 3) Wing - First half was unbelievable, became only "mediocre" in the 2nd half. Misses bats, also has a very good sinking fastball. 4) Pacheco - Came out of nowhere a-la Corwin Malone in 2001. Might have some motivational issues, but supposedly has a great arm. 5) Diaz - I still like him, a lot. Diaz earns this spot over McCarthy because of age alone. Diaz is 22 and in AAA, McCarthy is 20 and in high rookie ball. Diaz still has an electric arm, but should be getting more K's. Solid year none the less, could be a contender for the #5 spot. Just missed: McCarthy, Rauch, Tisch.
  12. Why do I have a hunch that KW's "plan B" is getting Type A compensation out of Bartolo?
  13. I'd agree with you except for Reed. He is a big darkhorse for the CF job if Everett leaves via FA.
  14. Cerbaho-WG replied to DBAHO's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If KW could pry two of Soriano, Blackley, Nagoette, I'd be estatic. If Soriano can ever develop a plus changeup, watch out.
  15. And in the SAL league (Kanny). Young and Valido were #2 and #3 respectively in the Appy League, while my boy Ricardo Nanita was #19 in the Pioneer League.
  16. Rober Fick needs to trade in his frying pan for a glove. Awful.
  17. Yeah, but it makes sense. You can just go over to the bullpen, steal some signs, and then relay them around next inning or what-not.
  18. Unfortunately, some of us are under the presumption that the Sox will be big spenders in the FA market. We all know that's a blatant lie. KW's main focus will be to resign the "core" of this year's team (mainly Lee, Colon, take option on Loaiza), out to go and bid on players. To be completely honest, I am not sure if Valentin will be back, but my mind wants to say that a cheap alternative (around 1-2 million) will most likely occur. The Sox are on pace to gain a lot of payroll, so someone indeed has to go. That guy is Carl Everett, unless he takes an enormous paycut. C Lee will most likely get a 2-3 million dollar raise, and Magglio, Konerko, Loaiza, Buehrle, Thomas, Garland are due for one as well. This conundrum of money raises the question of who needs to be traded, as some of you have mentioned. Is Konerko tradeable? Sure, but his market value is most likely in a trough right now. Is Koch tradeable? Sure, I'm willing to bet a good majority of teams would take the chance on getting Billy back his lost velo, but at what cost? The Sox would have to eat a portion of Koch's contract, and it seems dumb to do that while resigning Gordon and Sullivan, both of whom are injurt liabilites. Koch will most likely stay, and Marte will become the new closer unless Billy finds vis velo. With the certain departure of Everett, CF will now become a three-dog race: Reed, Harris, Rowand. One major knock on the Sox is that their lineup is predominately right handed, so Rowand wouldn't be much of a help there. If Reed shows the same spark he did last year, there is no doubt in my mind that he will be the odds on favorite for the job. Harris would most likely be relegated to a util player, and Rowand could become the 4th OF, or trade him to Colordao, who have apparently been wanting him for some time. Onto the rotation, which most likely will lose Colon. I just don't see how this is possible to resign him to a 11-12 million dollar deal, while giving raises to a good portion of the team. Take your Type A compensation and be happy with it, because that's all you're going to get. Rotation should look something along the lines of: 1)E-Lo 2)Buehrle 3)Garland 4)Schoeneweis 5)For the love of God, anyone but Danny Wright I have no objections to giving Schoeneweis a shot at the rotation, as the 2nd lefty would be an added plus. Number 5 is a crapshoot, and Jon Rauch should be the primary front runner after a good final stretch at AAA Charlotte. Bullpen should be a blast, especially with the departure of Sullivan and Gordon. Assuming Koch stays, look at it this way: Wright Wunsch Adkins/Ginter (?) Marte Koch ??? ??? Problems ahoy. Hawkins will be far too much on the FA market, and cheap alternatives will be the only solution here. Ginter seems to be a lock in my mind, but the Sox are going to have to find someone who'll be a right-handed setup man. Who that will be, I don't know. If worse comes to worse, pick up the option of Sully. The only clear-cut problems are the bullpen and shortstop, with the bullpen looking quite bad.
  19. I hate the Cubs; words cannot describe how much I despise them. Every year I hope they go 0-162.
  20. And to I have to point out you're an unknowledgable, fair-weather, crying about the most minor nuances fan?
  21. ALDS NYY over MIN 3-1 BOS over OAK 3-2 NLDS ATL over CHC 3-1 SF over FLA 3-0 ALCS NYY over BOS 4-2 NLCS ATL over SF 4-2 WS ATL over NYY 4-1
  22. Cubs pitching staff, meet: Rafael Furcal Marcus Giles Gary Sheffield Chipper Jones Andruw Jones Javy Lopez Vinny Castilla Robert Fick Can anyone say stacked?
  23. Excuse me, have you forgotten a guy by the name of Reed?? Honel has more upside than Reed, and Honel has done very well for his 2nd straight year. I'm not calling Reed a fluke or anything, but I think Honel gets the #1 spot on future upside. I'll have to see Honel break 90 before I buy the "upside" Oh come on, Rex, you and I both know that velo isn't THAT important. I've read from BA, but I know you have seen some radar readings, that his velo is abck up around the 92-94 MPH range. I guess you'll get a better look at him next year, though.
