Baseball America CWS 2003 Wrapup...
Excuse me, have you forgotten a guy by the name of Reed?? Honel has more upside than Reed, and Honel has done very well for his 2nd straight year. I'm not calling Reed a fluke or anything, but I think Honel gets the #1 spot on future upside.

Banned books
Probably the most recognized anti-war book ever written. The basic premise of the book is from the German perspective during World War I. The movie is even more chilling than the book.

Reed makes Olympic team
WTG Jeremy! BTW, the US team looks quite weak, especially the pitching outside of Hamels and VanBenschoten. By the way, why is there a 34 year old on the team (Ernie Young)?

Robbie head first slide
Sliding FEET first into 1st base slows you down, but diving head first is speedier, it's been proven.

Best Quotes
Clevinger had a mind, and Lieutenant Scheisskopf had noticed that people with minds tended to get pretty smart at times. Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

For Jas, Cerbaho-WG or anyone who cares to comment
1) Honel. Has too much upside not to be #1, with all do respect to Reed. 2) Reed. Won't be surprised if he's platooning around the outfield in Chicago next year. 3) Cotts. Should be fine. 3) Borchard. Poor season, strong ending. 4) Wing. Had unbelievable first half, leveled off in the 2nd half. 5) Diaz. Showed some very strong starts at the end of the year before getting injured. 6) Munoz. Overworked in 2002. 7) Anderson. Surgery doesn't sound too serious. 8) Malone. Sky is still the limit for him. 9) Sweeney. Huge steal in the 2nd round. 10) McCarthy. Numbers are impressive, but still only Rookie ball. Don't forget about Nanita, but I think putting a 14th rounder in the top 10 is a bit of a stretch.

I'm still positive
To answer your one question....YES. You can stay in denial all you wish. Wow. What a shock BMR has something negative to say. Would it kill you to have a little bit of faith in this team? CWSOX45 Kill me? No. But i have a brain. This team is done, whether you like it or want to admit it. Oh one other thing, its not "negativity" when im always right. It called intelligence. You're the one who has "visions", and most likely gets plastered every single night, and you have brains? If you do, my brain must be the size of f***ing Jupiter.

More bad news

Remembering 9/11
Destroyed. Anyways, I was a Sophomore in High School at the time, was taking the ISTEPs. Always really f***ing great to announce that the WTC and Pentagon were destroyed/damaged and that planes were being grounded in the middle of the f***ing tests. Also, my Dad was in the air when the first planes hit the WTC, so that made it that much better. Dumb f***ing school, jeebus.

Baseball America
http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/news/...30909poy10.html To me it's Reed or Barfield. Barfield had 20 errors, but his RBI totals are insane. I'd pick Barfield.
