Willie Harris is not exactly a power hitter therefore what his slugging pct. is meaningless. The important stat for Willie is his OBP which I dont what it is right now.

Do we really need another outfielder. I say we restock on starting pitching and middle infield prospects and find ourselves a future closer.

They also mentioned a couple times about Valentin playing center field. I think they mixed him up with Willie somenhow.

All I can say is its about time. He could make one of our outfielders expendible in a trade or could be good trade bait himself with Anderson, Reed and Sweeney developing.

He would be a perfect fit. He would come relatively cheap for the next 3 yrs. Hes been in the majors forever and hes only 29 and we know how much Ozzie likes latin players. I personally would rather have him than Freddy Garcia.

Willie has as good of range as any second basemen in the league. He will be just as good defensively or better than Robbie last year.IMO.

If you base it on stats alone its unfair to say he is declining. Would you say hes a much more mature pitcher than when he first started?
