QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 04:19 PM) IT FOLLOWS now i see the title in your post. sorry.
  3. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 12:07 PM) Why? Why do they need Tom Thibs? What would happen if they keep Tom Thibs? How many playoff series would they win if they keep Tom Thibs? Is it a finals? No? Then why do they need Tom Thibs? there are several problems with the bulls, Thib relationship with the FO. when the owners got involved, there was going to be a change. it is as easy as that. Fred was ready to move to the nba and the bulls wanted him. the second main problem is Rose, mostly when he is injured, followed by him and his self worth to the bulls. lastly those unexpected injuries. many mocks has the bulls looking at pg, there is a reason for that. didn't anyone noticed that???
  4. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 12:42 PM) I live in Chicago, this movie isn't polarizing anything...nobody cares except those that want some free publicity for or against the film. imo, trying to create hype for the movie.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 04:12 AM) It Follows was a very nifty horror flick. Quite creative/inventive...seems the lower budget ones almost always are better in this genre. Mostly a film of mood...ambience, psychological rather than visceral blood and guts action. Not up to the level of The Conjuring, but definitely top five for the last 2-3 years. which movie are you talking about.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 03:16 AM) Duchene looked f***ing terrible vs Ohio too. He's not good or extremely nervous. even thou he was going against Fulmer, i really expected to see more positive results than how he did. with this results, he might drop even further in the draft.
  7. QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 02:19 AM) I think this is where a pitchers body frame comes into play. Can add Gio Gonzalez to that list as well. yeah, the sox acquires him twice and traded him twice.
  8. QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 12:37 AM) Two walks in 24 hours, unheard of. Anderson 1-2 R BB 2SB K
  9. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 12:43 AM) Fulmer struggling with command, as he can do when he gets amped up thanks for the info. i would almost any young kid will do the same in his position.
  10. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 7, 2015 -> 01:12 AM) Danish is just 6 foot.. Q isn't the biggest guy around either, listed at 6'1" but seeing him in person I kinda question that. Q was a fa signed by the mets then came to the sox Danish is a 2nr rounder in 2013, does that make him a Hahn drafted prospect??? either way, i will make the correction to be more specific on asking a first rounder.
  11. under Hahn regime, i like what i have seen in ref to the draft. the sox appeared to have mend the bridge with Scott B, by the fact that Rodon signed with the sox last yr. now with that, there comes to mind, well at least for me, about the sox reluctance to sign pitchers who are, lets say vertically challenged. Fulmer - sp is, a well documented 5'10 or 5'11 on better days. Jay - sp is a generous 6'1. now their arm strength is true and their results has been proven. so this begs to be asked, will the sox draft either of them, if they are there and destroy the belief the sox will not draft a pitcher without height. In the first round.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 11:28 PM) Scot Gregor ‏@scotgregor 1h1 hour ago Doug Laumann watched high school C Tyler Stephenson in Georgia a couple weeks ago. Might be hard for Sox to pass on if available Director of amateur scouting Doug Laumann says #WhiteSox likely to draft college pitcher Monday at No. 8 overall smoke screen????
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) Eaton CF Alexei SS Abreu DH Garcia RF LaRoche 1B Beckham 3B Soto C Sanchez 2B Bonifacio LF it is about time someone is thinking outside the box. i like it. now i want to see them win.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 02:15 PM) He had a solid game 1, but that play where he crashed in the net was quintessential Versteeg. He's all over the place, looks like he is about to make a great play, then royally f***s it up. ( even if the call was questionable ) my problem with Bickell, is he doesn't show up. look at the big deal he made before the season on how it was going to have 5 hits a game and be aggressive? i really didn't think he achieve that. look at the playoff the game that went into o/t how many hits he had, how aggressive was he, i believe he was a minus in the + / -. finally look at the contract, he should be doing a much better than he has, a black hole, a waste of a roster spot.
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 03:21 PM) If the Sox don't make the playoffs, it's still a disappointment. They didn't enter this season with the intention of not making the playoffs. But the difference is, not making moves that will hamstring them for future seasons. They are doing better at not being stupid (that is if Melky starts hitting a little), but in the Sale/Abreu years going forward, a non-playoff season is a bad season. and on top of that, going into the summer, if this team continues to win less than 50%, talk about the fans being disappointed. does anyone think the fans will come to see a game in aug or sept? then compounding that, will be the FO complaining that the fans deserted them. come offseason, does anyone think the fans will then buy season tickets??? if the FO does not make any visible changes to the team with ref to management, does anyone think this team will do a whole lot better?? finally the important part, the team's main core gets another yr older.
  16. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 05:37 AM) http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CH...le-scores.shtml Now 4-2 in extras. by this record, this, at least for me, shows they, the sox have have gelled. nice record.
  17. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 12:03 AM) Tellis would be a definite but the other two are not ML ready or really close. maybe not this yr, but the 2 that i really am looking at is the ss/ and catcher.
  18. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 04:40 AM) Robin on Alexei staying in the #2 hole. "I think it could happen against lefties." Yes!!!! No Alexei #2 vs. RHP finally and a really nice performance.
  19. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 12:05 AM) You're making the assumption that there is enough talent to gel on this team, and if so, how much better do you think they should be? 5 or 6 games better? I think w/o the moves Hahn made over the winter this team is blowing away the competition for the #1 pick next season. He's bolstered a really shaky pen, added a couple of bats and one very schizophrenic starter. But I can't look at teams like KC and say, Yep, Sox can beat them. Not consistently, anyway. Sox just don't have the talent. re pen, and yet the pen gelled just nicely even with some miscue. why is that. according to all the posted of talent and trust and getting to gel.
  20. i missed the whole game and what a great night, sox won. here is a question, how many games have the sox went into extra innings. and how many of those were a sox victory.
  21. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 11:27 PM) Scot Gregor ‏@scotgregor 6m6 minutes ago GM Rick Hahn when asked if he's stunned Sox are in last place. "This is baseball. Things happen. We’ve played, what, 55-60 games?" yeah and then there are teams with 31+ wins right now, in what 55-60 games.

    Grilling

oh man, i just woke up, today was day off. i saw a note of white castles in the freezer..... it was great. it has been 7 yrs since i had these. Sam's now carries them frozen. i little touch of chi, still i prefer the late night drive to one in chi. but beggars can't be choosey.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 07:04 PM) He wouldn't admit a player had a leg amputation if he was skating around on one leg. He would just say a "lower body injury".
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 07:01 PM) Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc 34m34 minutes ago Joel Quenneville says it's not a concussion for Bryan Bickell. "He never had one." Bickell is talking like it's head related. It's 2015 Coach Q, it's OK to admit to concussions. with the way he is performing this season and esp in the playoff, i think it is the "head uip arse" injury.
  25. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 09:59 PM) 10-15 teams ask that question every season. ahhh maybe it is a good point. re maybe..... maybe the FO knows the reason.
