-
QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 18, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) Somehow, we knew you'd respond to that. Well, I am nothing if not consistent. Plus, who doesn't enjoy a good cunning linguist now and then.....

Has your sister or girlfriend, I don't know who she is, ever told you that bag does not go with that coat? --45th & 9th Hobo: It's 90 degrees out. Why are we wearing clothes? QUOTE(mreye @ May 18, 2005 -> 10:47 AM) I heard Buerhle on MJ&H yesterday rip on Wrigley. Harry asked about pitching in the beautiful Wrigley Field. He said he doesn't like it actually and talked about the small clubhouse and how the dugout bench was so small you have to sit on somebody's lap. Ha! Good stuff! He could sit on my lap any day. *Any* day.

Idiots... Now, I think we can all agree that I am as pinko commie liberal as they come--but these people need a very swift kick to the head.... Where I work none of the labs (even mine that only use human subjects) can have labels on the door--for fear of the animal labs falling victim to these idiots.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 18, 2005 -> 09:57 AM) the Blizzard of Oz said of his notoriously anal rival: "He never even smelled a jock [as a player] in the big leagues. There are so many different ways he might be jealous of me. I was a better player than him. I've got more money than him. And I'm better looking than him.'' Only Ozzie......Or should I call him Hotzzie?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 18, 2005 -> 09:45 AM) here is what I got Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Thanks--that totally made my day!!!!!!!

With all the hullaballoo about the LP Zoo, I thought I'd see what everyone's favorite Chicago zoo was. Growing up my family was a member of the Brookfield Zoo--and it was always a HUGE treat to get to go. I love going. And can't wait to take my little cousins there when I'm home.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2005 -> 09:20 AM) Lew Ford of the Twins Thanks.

If anyone has a digital camera, or camera phone, I would *love* to see a pic of that posted....
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2005 -> 09:10 AM) In reality, the Twins probably have a reason to feel that way, and that is history. They have always been able to bury us the last 3 years. Even when we have started well, or played them well early, they have always managed to get hot. And honestly until we bury the Twins in August, I have a big fear of them in the back of my head, even with a 5 1/2 game lead. ^^^^^^^ I was going to post something v. similar, but you said it way better.

Happy, happy birthday to someone who's always Good, and someone else who's badass with a heart of gold.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 18, 2005 -> 08:42 AM) This one......... Oh, I have missed that picture so much since last season. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, I feel like it really is baseball season now. Thanks Nukey.

I see it all perfectly; there are two possible situations - one can either do this or that. My honest opinion and my friendly advice is this: do it or do not do it - you will regret both. Soren Kierkegaard He also said something to the point of: When you choose whom you ask for advice, you choose your advice. (Or maybe that was Nietzsche--either way, it's a good point.)

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 13, 2005 -> 01:40 PM) Have any of our starters not ever batted in the majors? This quote from Ozzie on Rotoworld just cracked me up about the upcoming series: ''If you see [Jose] Contreras hit, you would be embarrassed,'' Guillen said. ''That's why those games are a disadvantage for American League teams. Now we go to Wrigley Field, and their pitchers hit all year and we don't. If you can't hit or you can't bunt, I will pinch-hit for you and you won't have a chance to win games.' Hopefully our pitchers don't embarress themselves batting--but if they keep up the good work that they have been pitching I'll forgive any of their offensive shortcomings.

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ May 17, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) Wonder Years was awesome. One of the best series finales I've ever seen. ^^^^^^ And I, huge dork, liked the Quantom Leap series finale--but I like EVERYTHING about that show.
