It's been said many times but damn this guy suprised me. I hope he keeps going because we need him. It's also so weird how we finally think we have a 5th starter and he ends up becoming better than a 5. Loaiza last year, now hes 2, then Shoe this year supposed to be 5 but now 4.

Not exactly, his last start he gave up 3 er in 8 inngings, I say thats good, his start before that was the shaky one where he gave up 5 runs in 8 innings. The reason I am confident in Loaiza is because he knows what his problems are and I don't think he will let them stay that way. Plus he did well against the Twins his last start, I believe he can give us some good innings and a chance to win. Oh I know Cotts will do well, but you never know, he's starting again and who knows maybe he just is better as a releiver. I feel very bad to compare him to Danny Wrong but he did well out of the pen last season and sucks as a starter, I just hope it isn't the same for Cotts. I will cheer for him for sure though!

My thoughts exactly, even though we arn't doing good, our pitching has improved (excluding the 5th spot.) I have good feelings about Loaiza, Buehrle, and Garland, and I am not saying I don't feel good about Cotts, but he has to prove he can do it first before I say no to him being in the 5th spot or saying he will do great. I just hope we put up a fight because we really need some energy right now, our bats suck. Either way, I hope we kill them!!

Same way I feel, I think Crede just needs to calm down. I know he can be fine, I just hope he can fix it quick.

Speaking of the future, I hope Cotts settles in REAL nice against the Twins and locks that spot down. If he does a good job I wonder what next years rotation will be like, I know Shoe is in his last year as is Loaiza (I think.) That would only leave 3 starters, Buehrle, Garland, and Cotts (TWO southpaws!!.) Both Shoe and Loaiza still are kinda shakey, maybe not now but who knows if Shoe will keep it up, and who knows if Loaiza will be able to show last year was not a fluke and can settle in again, those factors play a major role in who we get to start next season. All in all, I hope we do sign a lights out guy to make the rotation like its supposed to be. Enough for the future, lets talk about now, I hope Cotts proves he can do it! I'll be rooting for him.

You really think Beltran will be in a Sox uni don't you? If you are talking by the deadline that's crazy because KC will not trade him to a division rival. Not only that, the White Sox won't sign him wether Lee, PK, Koch, or Valentin leave or not, he wants arod money and his agent is Scott Boras, I highly doubt the sox want to pay him that much and deal with Boras. The only chances of Beltran being signed by the sox next season is if we go deep ino the playoffs and JR is willing to open that wallet.

Finally Koch can cheer his striking out the side and getting the save no prob instead of being happy a gapper was caught on a great play.

How about it, big Jon giving the sox a great chance to win, a win the sox really need. Especially against a team he has struggles so much with in the past, who by the way, bats are hot. I hope he pitches like this the rest of the season, not only because I know he's ready to do it but because the sox REALLY need it.

Do you guys think Diaz will have another chance to start or do you think this is it? Also, what if he would shut them down without allowing a run until the 7th, what do you think would happen then?

When are we ever going to get a prospect that comes out of no where killing? How long has it been since the sox had one?

I still support Arow, I know his ba sucks but a lot of the guys on our team don't have high averages, like Konerko, CREDE, Lee but no one is talking about getting rid of them. They have proved themselves already, what ARow hasn't really done but I just think he needs a little more time. He has showed flashes that he can do good but not many times, I just hope it comes fast because time is running out.
