  1. QUOTE (SnB @ Jan 14, 2010 -> 01:17 PM) who else is just laughing out loud while reading this thread? Me!! QUOTE (Real @ Jan 14, 2010 -> 01:33 PM) My favorite episode is probably "The Pool Guy" lots of memorable moments, worlds colliding, movie phone, CPR, and my favorite quote... George: "Laughing, lying and laughing!" To see Ramon? So, I’m Filk?
  2. QUOTE (Stocking @ Jan 14, 2010 -> 02:25 AM) "These pretzels are making me thirsty." No No. It's: These pretzels...are...making me THIRSTY!
  3. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 13, 2010 -> 02:49 PM) Correction, you like pop country. This is true, although I do like the deep twang country stuff, the pop country is def. my favorite.

  5. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 06:37 PM) As a Tennessee fan, I would be ecstatic to get Prater. He's visiting Knoxville this weekend. But I just don't see us getting him in the end. He apparently really wants to enroll early so I think he'll end up at ND or Illinois since he probably knows those schools better than UT. One plus is that his dad supposedly really likes the staff at Tennessee. So much for Prater at Tennessee apparently with Kiffin gone. Might USC be back in the mix?
  6. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Jan 12, 2010 -> 01:28 PM) OMG yes please! My brother and I spent so many hours playing World Series matchups in that game. While we tried playing with different teams, it always seemed like the best ones were the Twins vs Tigers, which is ironic because we both hate those teams so much now. But Kirby Puckett, Chuck Knoblock, Dan Gladden, Kent Hrbek, Shane Mack, Cecil Fielder, Mickey Tentelton, Lou Whitacker, Travis Fryman, Rob Deer, Twinkie Wells...man, those teams were fun back then. Sadly, I was playing about a year or two ago, and SNES shut off, erasing all the players names. That was a sad day. Never had a chance to change them all again (except the Sox, of course). Randy Johnson's fastball/slider combo in that game made it possible to throw a no-hitter every time. And who could forget Ken Griffey's home run cheat? Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Left, Left
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 06:28 PM) For more general people, (not you) it's recommended that a post workout recovery drink have a 4-1 carbs to protein ratio. Especially if you really push it hard. I drink the new forumla of muscle milk as both a snack or small meal replacement or a protein supplement. Heres a recovery drink http://www.puresport.com/products/index.html And to plug Tony's as well. https://extranet.securefreedom.com/MillionD...&AddToCart= Chocolate Milk is actually a very good recovery drink as well. And it is the most delicious food ever. At least, in my opinion.
  8. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/323924-...o-winning-form# Please read this article and explain to me how this crap gets on the Internet even if it is Bleacher Report. The author is simply an idiot, and I am an Illini fan. And yes, the comment was from me.
  9. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 10, 2010 -> 12:00 PM) Kyle Prater just decommited two days before he was to begin classes at USC a couple others too I believe. Plus there is a bunch of guys who still have yet to commit that were leaning USC. I would love to see him go to Illinois, but I have a feeling he is going to choose Tennessee. Also, Illinois is a finalist for a 4-star CB, but the name eludes me. As big a Illinois fan as I am, if I am Prater, why would you choose Illinois at this time? I think his best option would be Notre Dame actually (who I hate). Big stage, needs some help at WR, wide-open offense of Brian Kelly and top QBs coming in all the time.
  10. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jan 10, 2010 -> 08:07 PM) One of my favorite non-regular characters was Mr. Bookman, the guy who hunts down overdue books for the library. Also some good flashbacks to Jerry & George in high school in that episode. Can't Stan Ja!!
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 10, 2010 -> 01:39 PM) there was an early episode that I only vaguely remember - just that it was hilarious - where saddam hussein double parks george and kramer in...if anyone knows the name of the episode i'd love to watch it. The Dinner Party, Season 5 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dinner_Party_(Seinfeld)
  12. Classic Kramer from the Junk Mail episode: Kramer, showing Jerry his mailbox: "Check it out. Rain and sleet may not stop them, but let's see them get by... these bricks." Jerry: "Where'd you get the bricks?" Kramer: "Jerry, the whole building is brick."
  13. While Nix doesn't have the pure speed that Lillibridge does, I would rather keep Nix and his versatility over Lillibridge. Nix did fine with the Sox in SBs last year and although his minor league totals are much worse than Lillibridge (SB/CS ratio), Nix is superior in all facets of the game excluding speed, which Nix is pretty solid anyway. Lillibridge can pretty much only pinch run while Nix can play almost anywhere and provide some pop occasionally.

I just felt the need to start this and discuss the best show ever created even though it's been a decade since new episodes. I was watching the episode, "The Slicer" yesterday and was just thinking how it is my favorite episode. So share your memories folks.
  15. Anyone want to play XBox Live NHL 10? PM me and we can try and set it up.
  16. Run a sub-90 half marathon. Seriously, I am done with college and working for four days a week this winter/spring/summer until I go to law school in the fall. All my friends are still at college basically, so I will have nothing to do, but concentrate on running my sub-90 minute half marathon. I am also taking suggestions on what to do with my boredom for awhile.
  17. Cardinals as well. Generally the Cubs biggest threat and since Cubs fans hate Cardinals fans and vice versa, I figured why not hate on the Cubs some more.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 11:47 AM) Spoiler Alert. The meatball conglomerate is in EVERY sports city. Yeah. It's similar to the argument that (blank) city has the best fans. There is always going to be the truly die-hards, the bandwagon, the idiots, the apathetic, etc in every city, and in my opinion, roughly equal percentages. All fan bases are about the same, I think. Now one team may have more based on geographical location, but I think the City A has the best fans and City B has the worst fans is the most pointless argument (except when referring to the Cubs' fan .
  19. The Sox signed Viciedo because they saw he has 40+ home run potential and could be an RBI machine. If the he hits the way he should, it doesn't matter where he plays. After watching the movie Sugar last night, I think Viciedo's numbers were great for his first year in the United States. We cannot imagine how stressful and uncomfortable it must have been for him, at 20 YEARS OLD, to be living thousands of miles from his family in a couple new environment, hitting .280 with 12 HRs (in a horrible hitters' park) and 78 RBIs was a tremendous accomplishment. This year, I wouldn't be surprised to see him double that HR total, especially in that park in Charlotte while maintaining his BA and improving plate discipline.
  20. http://running.competitor.com/2009/12/vide...ld-you-eat_7225 I was watching this video about eating habits and simply couldn't help to notice that the person in the video looked like Josh Fields. Anyone else see it?
  21. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 10:40 AM) His dog? He posts on his twitter in the voice of his dog usually. It's actually pretty funny. http://twitter.com/ESPY_TEAHEN
  22. Actually just recently re-watched the movie Mr. Baseball with Tom Selleck. It's funny that Frank Thomas is the one who replaces him as the Yankees first baseman. It was a sad clip though to see Frank in a Yankees hat. Also a pretty funny movie overall. Just thought I'd share that tangent. Also, noticed Sosa in the Frank video, that was funny also. Who would have thought at the time those guys would combine for over 1100 home runs?
  23. http://joeposnanski.com/JoeBlog/2010/01/04...rs-in-baseball/ Just more praise for the big man who is continually underappreciated except by Posnanski.
  24. Just look at Baseball America's top 50 prospect list. Half of those never amount to anything.
  25. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 1, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) well yeah, but that was last decade haha good point.
