QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 09:30 PM) Ant sign of Steven A. Smiths cheesy poofs yet this year? Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers this. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 07:09 PM) I hope Stephen A. eats some cheese doodles. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 07:11 PM) Quite possibly the greatest video ever. -

I hope Stephen A. eats some cheese doodles. -
ESPN did a nice little piece on him. We were lucky to witness some of the things he accomplished here; it's amazing hearing the names his numbers are compared to.
-
I think the lack of chatter is because more than half of this thread has nothing to do with anything. And also, as you said, there's apparently nothing coming from the media on this, since this morning.
-
I gotta bust this out again...

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 01:43 PM) Always a White Sox in my book, Congrats big man. You'll be get another nice ovation when you come to the Cell. Anybody else planning their trip to Cooperstown for Frank's induction ceremony? Never been, but I have no doubts that I'll be making my first trip that year.
-
Congrats on 500, Frank!

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 12:49 PM) Little Round Top is the spot you are talking about. The coolest story I heard during our tour was about the General who abandoned the top of that spot thinking his troops would be better served at a different spot on the battlefield (Sickles I think) and then the story about the CSA and the Union troops literally racing up the side of this hill to try to claim it. I couldn't believe the scale of everything there. The pictures, movies, and history books don't do the area justice. It is so emmense. It is really something I have never experienced before. I can't wait to go back and stay for a while. I remember we ran that. I had this great teacher in 8th grade for everything Civil War, and at the end of the year we took a trip there. We hit a lot of the key areas around the town; my favorite was thing was the rocks at Devil's Den. We did a lot of awesome things there. Our teacher had us all research a soldier, and "adopted" them. At the end, we all ended up searching for our soldier's grave in the national cemetery and laying a rose on it. I really would like to go back now, that I could appreciate it more. I really love US history (taking an elective credit of such in the fall, as I haven't really had anything since early HS).

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 11:04 PM) Locked? Or a source of info? I disagree about the info. It's a great source. We're all wrestling fans posting what's reported and linking and so it's good for that. I only meant that it shouldn't be locked. Way to look too deep into things.
-
QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 10:50 PM) I dont know if this was posted yet or not, but I don't want to go reading 750+ posts, so here is the link http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2007/06/b...ay_with_wh.html It sounds like this is from a "different" "source" so who knows, but I thought it was interesting none the less I'm not questioning the source at all, but I love how NJ is the one breaking this.
-
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 10:52 PM) I hope this thread doesn't get locked. It's a good source for all of us on Benoit information and the effects it's having on wrestling. It shouldn't be.

Enough with the baiting in this thread, if you're just looking for trouble--don't post in the thread. Now that you've been warned, anything else will result in suspensions.

The Soxtalk staff is proud to announce InsideTheHall.com. Fans of CBB (particularly IU and Big Ten fans) who read the site, we thought you'd be interested in checking it out.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 07:07 PM) I didn't see anything about Farmer when I changed it, perhaps it just didn't accept yours. It tends to do that. Nah, you just did it on an older refresh of PHT, so you never got to see mine. It was up for like 2 minutes before you destroyed all its awesomeness.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 07:04 PM) Mine is much more informative. I had Ed Farmer in my update, which was cancelled out. You can't get more exciting than that.

Boo, apparently my title wasn't good enough.

Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread

It needs to be put on record for when he inevitably flip flops, that Jay Mariotti believes Greg Oden will be a disappointment and the Blazers will be stupid to draft him w/ the #1 pick. -
Dayn Perry hasn't had any weight on anything White Sox since he's been business.

QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 04:16 PM) I am sure I missed it, and I really don't want to read this entire thread again, but what did Mark say? Can someone give me a link? Thanks. I don't think we've seen anything from Buehrle today--this is the only quote I've seen of his in any of these stories. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...sp&c_id=cws

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 04:14 PM) Just seems this is posturing by all involved. Let's make a list: White Sox: Supposedly saying the Red Sox are interested Red Sox: Claim they are not interested Score: Close to extension ESPN: Not close to extension Jeff Berry: Surprised anyone said anything Buehrle: Mum, but being coy. Hahn: Flying to TB I mean, come on...how many times have we seen this? Either with the Sox or some other club. You can't forget that half of the league is linked to some kind of Buehrle rumor this past week; it's not only the Red Sox.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 12:53 PM) "No official announcement" is promising.....I swear though, if this all falls through, I'm going back to being Mr. Pessimism. Opposed to? Just messing.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 12:45 PM) Ok, last speculative comment right here. If Buehrle does come on and says he signed an extension then he went behind his agent's back to get a deal done on his own. Not even the optimist inside me can believe that right now; we'll see.
