QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 08:10 PM) I sure hope any GM Williams is dealing with doesn't use what Steve Phillips says as valuable information.

QUOTE(philadelphia sox fan @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 02:16 PM) There is no deal. This is strictly a rumor. Hence the addition of the ?, I thought it was a done deal too by reading the thread title. -

QUOTE(thedoctor @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 02:00 PM) although it doesn't sound good you have to hope for the best for coach hep. he is, by all accounts, a great coach and a better man. Agreed. He's been the best thing for the program since um... (it's bleak), but he's really turned this thing around a great deal. Attendance has spiked big time since he's been on board, because of the excitement he brings. Last season, we were talking about football until our final game in November--versus the usual countdown to the start of basketball season at the beginning of football season, because we actually had the opportunity to earn a bowl spot for the first time since 1993. Things look even more promising this season. And as far as I hear, nothing's changed in that Hep should be back for the start of practice. We'll see, but we're definitely hoping for the best. -

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 07:13 PM) Rowand's not THAT good. I do kinda miss Pods. He did everything on one day. Quite the ARow koolaidfest tonight. Not on ESPN, which isn't blacking me out for the 2nd straight week. -
When I went to NYC in December of 2004, the Statue was still closed from 9/11. The closest we were able to get to it was the ferry around the water. However, I remember there being posters, ads, etc. campaigning for them to re-open it to the public. I'm pretty sure that's been the case, and you can go to the top of it again.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 06:14 PM) If he's talking about the cold weather there, then we can probably forget about going after him this offseason. Doesn't say, and I don't really think that's the deal here. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/spor...arinotes11.html

Louisville reporter ejected from game for blogging it

QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 05:42 PM) The rule is in effect only during Championship games. On a complete sidenote, those UL baseball hats are pimp. Too bad I just spent a half hour on the web trying to find somebody that actually sells these damn things.....including the school themselves. I have a Louisville hat, but nowhere near as cool as what the baseball team sports He did them for Tournament games too, and that's technically what phase baseball is in right now too. Oh well though. -

Lame rule, and the NCAA isn't doing a good job policing it either. There's been IU football and basketball games that Terry Hutchens has live-blogged for the IndyStar, the past couple years. And there's no way he's the only one doing this. -

I am in agreeance (not a word, but I don't care) on Jon Garland; he's the pitcher's version of Joe Crede, except I don't see Garland reverting to who he was pre-2005 anytime soon. I hope he's pitching for the Sox until he's Count's age (w/e you think that may be).
