  1. I just saw the first four movies for the first time in June, and I enjoyed them immensely. I plan on seeing the fifth sometime soon (probably this week), and then I will be borrowing a friend's copy of the sixth book and eventually the seventh. I know it's not the best way to follow this story, but I'm having fun w/ it anyways.
  2. QUOTE(Beltin @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 11:54 AM) Anyone notice this? http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines I am not sure MLB should take such a hard stance, but on the other hand, who is going to cry for ESPN? It's nice to see a league not bow down to the self-proclaimed WWL.
  3. You guys obviously didn't see him talk at the Future's game. He basically was saying the same thing, but when he said we're in buyer's mode--it was for the future.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 09:47 PM) If the Sox can find a way to ink Garland to an extension then I'd have no problem with Vazquez being dealt but if Garland is going to be traded sometime soon or walks after '08 I think Vazquez needs to stick around as the #2 starter. So I guess this is pretty simple from my standpoint. Garland Extended = Trade Vazquez (if there's a GREAT offer out there) Garland Traded = Vazquez Stays Agreed. You've got to have one of those guys around, if we want to keep some stability with this eventual position-rebuild/reload we're about to begin.
  5. Now the Phillies will have to wait until after the break to get their 10,000th loss.
  6. He's been responsible for the two greatest moments of the 2007 season: Today with the resigning and of course the no-hitter.
  7. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 08:39 PM) Looks like a lot of people will be eating crow. And you don't need a new name.
  8. Ah apologies. I didn't pay much attention to that thing this year, it was nice not having to slave in front of the computer to get one of our guys in this season.
  9. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 06:56 PM) If that was the case Big Z would have got in.. That would take putting down your beer though. Remember fans don't vote for pitchers.
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 05:38 PM) YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS You're late, and you're fired.
  11. I'd like him on the team, but not for the contract he'll be able to pull on the FA market.
  12. Did anyone realize Maggs is doing the HR Derby?
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 04:57 PM) Mark Buehrle agreed to a contract extension with the White Sox today.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 04:43 PM) I'M WRONG, I'M AN IDIOT, EVERYBODY MAKE FUN OF ME, I DON'T CARE!!! THANK GOD we kept Mark, this had to be done. That makes my f***ing week. Thanks for taking the discount, #56. You smell like blue cheese.
  15. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 04:36 PM) NO WAY! What great news. Thank god, we can now close the one of the longest threads in Soxtalk history. Already been done.
  16. AND THIS BALL GAME IS OVA! http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=59843
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 03:54 PM) I thought that was 18. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/wrap....p&team=home
  18. It’s good to be listening to the show again; it’s been awhile since I’ve been able to catch one of these. The bullpen has definitely been pathetic, and they’ve killed a lot of games for us this season. It is hard to believe that we were in contention for the first couple months, but the bullpen has blown leads and increased deficits way too many times this season. I agree that the Sox should probably look into trading Jenks, if we’re going to enter a rebuilding phase. There isn’t much reason to keep him around, if we’re not expected to contend for the next couple of years. We might as well cash in on Jenks, while he can and his stock his high. Our bullpen is full of talent, I do agree with that statement. It’s weird how this compilation hasn’t worked out as a whole, and if we can get something for arms like Aardsma and MacDougal, I’m all for it. ROOGY. Dye’s definitely the guy we’ve got to be pulling for the most, if we’re expecting a solid return from him. He’s been having a lackluster year, and as Mario pointed out, his defense has been on the decline. However though it’s not there right now, he’s still got the capability to be a force on offense. Again, congrats on the dap from Bugs and Crank. That’s really solid. And the listeners of this show are the 100 smartest people on the board. Boo Heads shoutout. Good to hear about the depth that’s been built with the pitching in the farm. Great show guys, and nice sign-off Gage.
  19. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 01:52 PM) A year ago was our epic 19 inning game vs. Boston. That was a fun one.
  20. I know we had a thread with this in it, but I have no clue how to find it. But there's a new Bloons out. http://www.addictinggames.com/bloonspp1.html
  21. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 01:15 PM) The Sox like to do them on Sundays. Wasn't it ASB Sunday that we traded for Freddy?
