  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 01:34 PM) Ya, this sucks. Oh hambugers.
  2. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 01:29 PM) ESPN radio said that the deal is pretty much done... fwiw. Done, as in happening, or dead, as in no more talks?
  3. QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 10:15 PM) Well what would have happened if we DIDN'T win the series that year.. you think we would have taken heat for doing the same? Definitely, because everyone was pissed that Blum was the only move we made at the deadline.
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 10:12 PM) Didn't the Dodgers take heat from the fans and media a few years ago when they stood pat at the deadline? Geoff Blum.
  5. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 10:03 PM) Pearce, Allen, and Garnett could be the equivelant of Garnett, Spreewell, Cassell. Good team but too many guys who want the ball, not enough defense. Garnett's never been one to demand the ball, so he won't be the problem. However, even if that were the best case scenario, that's at least a playoff team in the East.
  6. All of these. http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=TayZonday
  7. QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 11:22 AM) what doesn't look right is Tadahito looks more focused in that pic than he's been in years on the south side. ??? 2007: 2006: 2005:
  8. Pretty good week for Mr. Buehrle. Also, congrats to Danny Richar (first ML hits) and Jerry Owens (first ML HR) on providing the noteworthy offense tonight.
  9. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) What does this line even mean? The Sox would have been better off just taking the draft picks except they couldn't have gotten any picks for him. That's like Saying the Sox should have traded him to the Mets for Milledge and Pelfrey despite the fact that Minaya would never do that deal. Who wrote this garbage?
  10. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 12:04 AM) I think the spiders would have killed anybody but Hagrid. There was always an uneasy truce between them and the Hogwarts Gemekeeper. True, but I remember even Hagrid being uneasy about going near the spiders after Aaragog had died.
  11. QUOTE(Soxy @ Jul 21, 2007 -> 03:02 PM) I thought the doe was a bit heavy handed and obvious, but. . . Everything turned out as I had hoped. Although the epilogue was a bit schmaltzy for my taste. Nothing too surprising, except I totally thought Hagrid would die. Got the book Wednesday night from my friend, started it yesterday and just finished it. And I was the same about Hagrid. I thought he was going to die in the early bike scene and then I thought he died during the battle with the spiders. And like everyone else, I really liked the conclusion on Snape. That was basically what my friend and I were predicting, that there had to be something good about Snape for Dumbledore to trust him all this time. I really liked the detail that went into that. Great book.
  12. QUOTE(frankie5angels @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 05:27 PM) I don't see a problem at all with this trade. Iguchi was looking bad this year both offensively and defensivly. KW got what he could for him. So now let's see what Richar can do for the next 2 months at 2nd, and hopefully this Dubee can develop and help us in the future. I just wish they could have talked the Phillies into taking Jose off our hands. Welcome to Soxtalk!
  13. As it's already been said in this thread, we wouldn't get draft picks in compensation for Gooch this winter.
  14. Enough with the personal stuff guys, keep it on topic.
  15. Looks like an upside down icicle/stalagmite.
